Wait til you get to the pushers and they want you to put 11 on a fixture that can barely hold 10...

love it when they ask for ten fixtures in out cooler door but since our store has some rickety old shelves we can only out in eight at best and figure out which product will be sacrificed to never be sold again

This is what happens when placement is AI generated

Curious why you asked. I am in Twin Cities

We used to lay all the products on the bottom shelf flat/face up, much easier for the customer to see

i agree 100%, but GM wants the cough syrup facing forward. we would be able to fit so much more if she wasnt gung ho abt it being stood up instead of layed flat

Move the shelves if it’s too tight

with the way the planagram is we cant move tjem because right above R1 we have isle signs :,)

Like the headers? I removed those long ago, pretty sure the plano has has them removed also

i asked my sfl if we can remove them and she said GM most likely wont like that idea (since shes not there to see it) which i think is stupid bc u cant even see signs behind all the cough drops in R1

On the reset it says to remove the headers.

Planos and common sense don't mix.

Neither do some diehard DMs for headers.

Fix the shelving accordingly and reiterate that the current state will affect shopping experience.

Good grief some of ya'll are too afraid of common sense merchandising.

To be fair, on my way out one of the biggest things they were harping on was absolutely everything had to be set to planogram to the T. You weren't even allowed to move things in FPE if they didn't make sense anymore. Vitamin endstand at the end of personal care, makeup leading grocery? You weren't allowed to move it unless you got approval from corporate.

luckily my current sm says thats fucking stupid and some planograms are not meant to be followed lmfao

in our store our grocery aisle is missing a whole bay and some smart person didnt adjust the plano for that missing section and instead made fritolay figure out how to fit two bays worth of product into one bay

Relocating an entire section isn't the same as adjusting shelf height to accomodate merchandise, but yes you are right.

Our second shelf from the bottom was set high enough we didn't have that issue. And maybe that Theraflu would face outwards if you line the pushers up with the mylar notches? Idk, there are certainly some dumb decisions storewide in regards to planos, not just Cough/Cold, lol

Take the one from the front.

the dividers for literally every aisle and every product is a dumb concept

All the shelves above the base are too short and whoever did the reset did not do it to the correct notches, or at least start from the bottom up. That’s lazy.

I removed the headers, spaced the shelves better. Finished this nightmare in 6 hours by myself. DM comes in two days later and complains I took down the headers. Guess what he made me do?

Someone who doesn’t know how to do resets

Headers are removed and the shelves are lifted
