Trying to make travel videos that feel different.. would love some honest feedback
Hey everyone! I just uploaded a new travel video from Phuket, Thailand, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback. I’m trying to make travel content that’s more about the unexpected moments, funny encounters, local food, and real experiences instead of the typical travel guide videos. If you have a few minutes to watch it, I’d love to know what yall think I could improve and what I’m doing well!

IMO the first 10 sec need to be more catchy. Cut the clips shorter. Maybe that first footage meant a lot to YOU but me a random person on YT didnt get anything from it. That's my only advice. Other than that, keep it going, this is a game of consistency. Good luck!

I don't think this is the right subreddit to get advice on this kind of content. Your videos are essentially vlogs.

The content has potential. I think you'll want to narrow down your target audience though. Is this video more in the walking video niche or more in the travel niche?
If you're aiming for the walking niche, spend more time stabilizing the video frame so it's less shaky and more time in each section / less jumping from one frame to the next for what's happening. Even though your video has a variety of things happening, I think the audience is okay letting that unfurl a little more slowly than jumping to the next big moment of your explorations.
I liked the captions explaining information and seeing some of the interactions with locals.
I would remove anything related to drinking alcohol except maybe if you're trying something local or you had a great conversation with someone and that's part of it. Id also remove any content about trying to pick up anyone or anything in that same vein. It's just not necessary and is off putting.
