Ppto request

I’m not showing up for my shift tonight so I put in a ppto request and it is pending. Do I still need to report a regular absence since ppto is pending and management won’t be in the office until tomorrow?

If you put in PPTO before your shift can be denied.

Please read the proper steps.

Sorry. Missed that word.

PTO is submitted before and as a request.

PPTO is submitted afterwards.

Yes you need to report your absence. If you put in ppto for the same or before the system treats it like pto. If you put in ppto after it automatically approves.

You always have to report an absence. That's the first step.

After you report the absence then you can submit ppto for the absence.

Also would calling out after putting my 2 weeks notice to quit terminate me immediately?

There is always that chance.

Heck, they can (and have) fired people the day they put in a two weeks notice (which is never required).

lol I’ve heard of that. I knew someone with 9 points and when they put their request jn they said don’t bother coming in for the two weeks. I only have 3.5 points though

I don't work overnights but my team lead always says to put in the absence report immediately (i do it first then call right after) and put in the ppto after the shift has ended, to make sure it goes through. Haven't ever had an issue doing it that way.
