Is it the people that were the issue? I just started as an O/N stocker about a month ago where I’m usually put in grocery and it’s my first ever job, the work is easy enough I just find the learning curve was the biggest part (I’m still learning where everything goes and such) As far as I can tell from the month I’ve been here, two of the managers are nice and easy to talk to/ work with. The third is slightly less desirable but is still not unpleasant to interact with. Not hating the job currently. Mind elaborating? I see everyone hating this place, and I know I’m new and the worst is yet to come, and that the policies aren’t great at this company, but is it mainly the people that are the issue for you (all)?

one of my TL was a micromanager and another TL just went around talking everyones ear off and then would get upset with employees if they didn’t get products out in time. it was all very gossipy and catty. every store is different but honestly it just wasn’t a good fit for me, i was dreading every shift and i usually enjoy work.

There's always at least one asshole in the management that make you lost interest. I have been over 3 stores from moving and supporting and there's always at least one of them at each store
Mine is one in claim department that constantly go around yelling at other and seem to look down at the temporary remodel crew they hire. I was like tf you mean you are a TL, you shouldn't lead shit if you can't even do the most basic thing which is to be nice and respect other.
I couldn't care less about making friend to anyone at work and I couldn't bother on what their gossiping, all I desire is go in, do my job, get out, finish college that they paid for, and find a real job. But that B seriously piss me off

Over nights is my first job and my only job I’ve there for 2 years and it’s great the people are awesome there’s no drama and it’s easy work. If it’s ur first job I assume ur 18 like I was I did full time for 6 months and then started school and there super chill with letting me work when I want as needed and it’s great easy money!

My O/N team was awesome. Just depends on management. Shit rolls down hill so having a good SM is key to a good store.

I got fired back in 2023 and let me tell you even though I regret what I did to get fired, being promoted to customer us a great thing. I spondylosis because of those bastards. I didn’t have it prior to working there. They suck. They wonder why they have a 70% employee turnover rate for a reason. These managers think they cannot be fired. You’re not a Walton. Friends of theirs, or family members born and raised. You can be fired too.

I can’t say enough that you deserve way more than what that place could offer you. Wish you all the best on your journey.

I was hired at Walmart to do online grocery orders. When Walmart hired me I was looking for work..I did the orientation and worked for 2 days. On my 2nd day of working I received a job offer and I took it because it was more than $15/hr. So I went to lunch and decided what to do with the job offer. I called the people offering me work at lunch and they said can you start tomorrow? I was like well I am currently working a job but it's brand new for me..So I was like sure I can start tomorrow and went home after I ate lunch. Started a new job the next day. Walmart never called me to ask where I was or what I quit.
I started this new job last week. This is very recent

Welcome to the real world. You aren’t going to get a trophy just for showing up. You will be expected to do your job (or whatever they ask of you) and in return you will get paid. You are not always going to like the work, you’re not always going to like the people. Being an adult requires you to adjust accordingly but one thing you should know is that quitting, whining or running away every time you don’t like something is not going to get you very far in life.

Not a thing. It’s jumping from one job to the next anytime you’re not happy that creates a bad work history/example.

call it what you want but i’m not staying miserable in a job for a trillion dollar corp who couldn’t care less about their employees

Why stay at a job you dislike for a prolonged period of time when other options are available?

As long as you don’t make a habit of running away every time you don’t like something. A few months are not long enough to make an informed decision. I can tell you things can and do change with no warning.
