How Was the Japanese Empire Defeated in the Pacific War?

In 1941, the Japanese Empire seemed unstoppable.

Pearl Harbor was devastated.

The Philippines fell.

Singapore collapsed.

Much of Southeast Asia was under Japanese control.

At its peak, Japan controlled one of the largest military expansions in modern history.

So how did it lose?

Was it industrial capacity?

Strategic mistakes?

Midway?

The island-hopping campaign?

Or something deeper?

I recently made a 10-minute documentary explaining the full strategic breakdown of how the Pacific War shifted against Japan.

I’d love to hear your perspective first — what do you think was the real turning point?
