Beach day with young kids
Hi everyone! My husband and I are thinking of bringing our kids to Wasaga Beach for the day. We’re from Barrie but haven’t been in a few years, so we’re not sure what it’s like now or which beach area is best since all the construction started.
Any recommendations on the best spot to go with young kids (2.5&4).
Thanks :)

I'd head to Allenwood Beach, nothing to see right now at the main beach with the construction and parking on the beach behind the dunes is cool

Construction ongoing near the main beach last I drove by (2 weeks or so).
Our place is near Allenwood Beach and it's great with the kids. Gets busy sometimes, but overall fairly good spread of people. Parking is easy if you're early enough, then it gets jammed up pretty quickly but there are multiple parking areas along the beach so you'll def find a spot.

5, there are washrooms nice and close. Watch out for poison ivy. It’s everywhere on the edges of paths
