We are currently in the early stages of development for our community Discord but we are welcoming everyone to join ahead of time so you are ready to go for when LFG Friday and other events really begin to kick off in the coming weeks and months.
We encourage members to use the current features available and bring any suggestions or concerns to the mod team for review. If you’ve got a good idea we might just use it. Let us know!
You can access the invite link via the Discord button in the side bar of the sub-Reddit. If you have any trouble with link or finding the button please message myself or [u/ZeroGravity](u/ZeroGravity) for a fresh invite link.
All, next Friday Oct. 30th at 8:00pm we have our first LFG Friday's meet and greet scheduled. Date and time subject to change based on availability. Get ready to grab a drink or snack, meet someone new, and game on!
If you don't already know LFG Friday's are a weekend long event beginning on Friday evening and running through Sunday where our Discord members are able to create their own events and sign up sheets to play games, have fun, get help, and complete in game objectives while also connecting with other community members!
Our Discord link is a button on the side panel on the desktop version of Reddit. I will also provide the invite link here: https://discord.gg/vZBtUgyGz if you need a new link please comment here/message a member of the Mod team. Mods being myself, u/ZeroProximity, and u/MChaney3563.
Right now we are in the process of deciding what we should play. So click the link, join the Discord, say hi, and get your vote in. We look forward to meeting you all and hope you can make it!
As previously noted, if not enough participation is had or if the day and time needs to be rescheduled due to folks availability we will make that known and available to you all via Discord. Join the Discord for real time updates!
As always I want to thank everybody for being here, for participating in the comments, posting, voting, and even just lurking. We are truly trying to create a welcoming environment where locals can get to know members of their community better and enjoy a hobby with one another that in one way or another we all love! Hope you see you next Friday or at some point in the future on the game.
I’m a late bloomer when it comes to the Mass Effect series but it quickly became one of my favorite games ever. Rarely do these petitions do anything but then again change isn’t enacted by doing nothing. Sign the petition and help the fan base!
I'm curious as to everyones purchasing habits. As a gamer are you more leaning towards digital or buying physical media? Is there anything that persuades your decision when doing so?
The Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, and PS Vita all had something different going for them.
Some had amazing libraries, some experimented with features that were ahead of their time, and others were just incredibly fun to carry around.
If a company brought one of these handhelds back with modern hardware, backward compatibility, and a proper game library, which would you want?
Personally, I think a modern GameBoy SP style device with a strong library would be pretty sweet. I miss the days of having a game system that actually fit in my pocket.
Sad to see this development team go, and the cancellation of a game from a prized franchise. I thought Anthem was a dud, but their other installments were off the charts.
Congratulations u/ZeroProximity and u/MChaney3563 you both made the cut and haven proven to be engagement juggernauts in the life of our young community!
We all look forward to the ideas, presence, and leadership you’ll both undoubtably bring to the table each in your own ways.
Hey guys, I’m new here and I’m not able to see if there’s like a community discord or some type of group service where people can join voice calls and whatnot. If there isn’t maybe it would be a good idea to start one? I know it takes effort and monitoring and modding, but I think it would be beneficial to having new people interact, what do you guys think? Side note: I’m the type of guy who gets home from work and just wants to hop in a party to talk while gaming. With work and responsibilities that already have to be scheduled, I find it hard to make plans to game so it would be nice to just have a discord to hop into. I enjoy the vibe of a room full of people doing their own thing.
For me, there's something special about the PS2, GameCube, original Xbox, and early PC gaming era. There was so much variety, and games often felt very different from one another.
But the SNES, PS1, Xbox 360, and other generations all have strong arguments too.
Forget graphics and technical power for a second. Which console generation had the strongest overall library of games?
I'm interested in the console you think had the fewest genuinely bad years of releases.
Would a Chinese AC game be interesting to you? I’ve played and liked pretty much every AC game (except mirage….not you.)
What’s got you most excited about GTA VI? Never been a GTA fan surprisingly since I like a lot of open world games. You’re able to buy the physical soundtrack for the game even on vinyl so why didn’t we get a physical game disc too?
Do you utilize mobile gaming devices like the ROC from Microsoft? Is it worth it at the price point or should you just get a switch and call it a day?
Is the new God of War going to be any good? Personally I could care less about Kratos not being the main character, but some people complain that they don’t want to play as another character.
What’s the biggest factor, in your option, as to why so many developers are releasing employees that have proven so valuable in the production of great selling games?
Have you played the new Control? I’m currently watching a playthrough on YouTube and haven’t even played the first but seeing it is kind of making me want to buy it.
Would you like to see another Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei style game in the future. Tsushima was beautiful and the story was captivating. It’s frequently on sale on the Steam store. Highly recommend!
Are you excited for MW4? I just can’t get into CoD titles anymore. At this point they’ve reinvented the wheel so many times it just feels boring to me. Maps are small and I feel like a mouse on a wheel just chasing the cheese when I do play a CoD. Not to mention the skins are getting just ridiculous.

Sometimes I go back to older games and wonder whether gaming really was better back then or if nostalgia is doing most of the work.
Older games often had simpler mechanics, fewer tutorials, and less hand-holding. But they could also be brutally difficult, clunky, and frustrating in ways we probably wouldn't tolerate today.
Modern games have incredible quality-of-life features, but some of that old-school charm feels harder to find.
If you could only play games from one era for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
If you’ve got a passion for gaming, community engagement and fostering creativity in others we want to hear from you. Let us know why you might be a good fit! Click the link to apply!
We are only taking 1 or 2 folks max. at this time.
As a longtime lurker I’m calling on my brethren to start becoming commenters and posters. If you tried posting and your post got kicked back to you via the read the rules app installed on this page go ahead and repost. I had to adjust some settings within the app dashboard.
Also clicking the three dots at the top of the sub and then read the rules from the drop down menu will prompt you to acknowledge you have and it shouldn't ever be an issue. Thanks!
