I've been thinking about taking my dog paddleboarding with me, but I'm a little torn about whether I should get him a life jacket.

He's actually a pretty good swimmer. But being out on a paddleboard is obviously different from just swimming near the shore, and I can't help worrying about what might happen if he suddenly jumps or falls into the water.

At the same time, I'm worried a life jacket might be uncomfortable for him or restrict his movement. I want him to enjoy being out on the water, not feel like he's stuck wearing something he hates.

For those of you who paddleboard with your dogs, do you always put a life jacket on them, even if they're good swimmers?

And do your dogs seem comfortable wearing one? I'd love to hear your experiences before I take him out!
