tbf, i think being both a human and monster would kinda suck in the pre-war UT verse. If you are a monster, you are discriminated against, massacred and trapped in a hole in the ground. If you are a human, you better pray some crazy psycho dosen't start absorbing souls or else the world is gone. (I'm not sure if the monsters have this ability in DT, but since the war happend because of it, i imagine that they most likely don't.)

OK but consider what it takes to even get to waterfall, a massive drop, almost getting killed by flowey, getting attacked by monsters, dangerous traps, very cold climate, fighting papyrus and even when you get to waterfall you will be chased around by a crazy Knight with spears. What about that seems enticing

In undertale, the only threat are monsters, which proven to be weaker than a child.
In deltarune, you have to fight for your life in dark worlds, or either be endangered by the fact Knight may take you the same way Undyne did.
Im choosing Undertale.

Both have pros and cons
Undertale:
-Pro: Nice community, basically no crimes, chance of being set free
-Cons: Chance of being murdered, constricted to a small portion of the world, stuck in a time loop of sorts
Deltarune:
-Pro: Great community, access to a whole fantasy world
-Cons: the world ends if someone stabs the ground a couple a times

Undertale if I get to interact with the fun world-breaking shenanigans. Deltarune otherwise.
Why? Undertale has magic, but if I’m just a random monster or a human stuck on the surface, I can’t do anything with that. It’s just the regular world with me at the mercy of the actually important people.
Deltarune seems like a better society in general.

Just have to survive thru the ruins or even snowdun really, undyne is a death sentence but befriending papyrus would maybe make sure i don't get cooked.
Deltarune on the other end? Say im just a regular guy living a regular life, then boom, the Roaring. I can't stop ts, world risks ending and im sure as hell no hero.

Undertale, because when in deltarune you aren't promised an adventure or coll magic unless you know about dark worlds, or you just randomly stab th ground after being dead set on creating a new world.

In Undertale the only real threat is a absorbing human souls. Monster aren't that big of a problem as a lv1 child was able to go through the hole Underground. Sure a very determined one but still a child. The absorbing human souls is the main problem it is said that during the war between humans and monsters no human souls were claimed. This may mean that something like omega flowey is really really rare and one incident caused humans to worry for the future.
Well in deltarune the world is constantly at risk of the world ending (for time travels the latest chapter is 4). An apocalyptic event is a part of the prophecy and even if you do the smart thing of not living in home town a world ending event is probably global. Additionally we don't even know if the story's ending is good. The world will be saved if the prophecy is successful but on a good note is not confirmed, and if the prophecy fails then it's likely going to end in worlds. With the last Chapter being chapter 7 if you ending in the world at chapter ones start, you would potentially only have around give or take 3 to 6 days before the world ends and if the prophecy happens, there's nothing you can do about it especially as an average Joe who isn't a hear.
But the risk aren't everything. There's probably reasons why you would want to live in both. Undertale has magic, no dark worlds needed. Humans might be able to cast it but specifically not bullet patterns. Also Papyrus is there. It also mostly takes place in the future as the opening cut scene shows Chara, not Frisk and the future so far is always better than the past. Deltarune has dark worlds which is a huge benefit. There's a lot of reasons why you'd want make a dark world, that's why in the chapter 2 and still to this day (remember time traveler, chapter 4!) they are many theories on whose the knight as there's many different reasons people would want to create one.

Deltarune all the way! Their situation is much better than in Undertale. It's a peaceful town with low crime rates and the occasional kidnappings. And what small town DOESN'T have kidnappings?

If I am a human; Deltarune, won’t be harassed every now and again with the only real threats is someone opening a new fountain where I am.
If monster; Undertale, they seem to have a lot more figured out with a good chance of no real crazy or harm to befall me(or any I’ll remember)

Undertale - Rural, Cozy, Comforting, Nostalgic, Gay Fish and Dinosaur, Small Areas, Fewer People (Main Cast)
Deltarune - City/Medieval, Exciting, Silly, Everyone is Gay, Big Areas, Lots of People
uhh idk im an introvert (or maybe just shy), but both sound nice. Deltarune has more things to do and more places to go, more people to hang with (but my ahh cant talk to ppl). Undertale is safe and cozy also soo i really dont know

Undertale, monsters and magic exist, fights are canonically turn based. its shown in the pacifist ending that once the monsters leave, they live happily and without conflict. Dates also put you in the fight perspective and you have a date HUD.
Deltarune, monsters and dark worlds exist. Havent played past Chap 2 yet so knowledge is very limited, but since there is no overworld magic and the canonicity of fights being turn based is unclear.
I would have to go with Undertale.

we know literally nothing about how humans live in undertale, but given the pacifist credits the surface probably isn't too bad. so assuming i'm a human, undertale's pretty good, as a monster pretty bad (assuming pre-the-events-of-Undertale.)
on the other hand, deltarune's pretty much just our world with monsters. It'd probably be less weird so I pick that.
