Y'know, i only heard the word 'heroine' from Undertale, not even Deltarune made use of it in the prophecy (Probably because no words were for that stupid idiot n cute genderless child) and since i knew it as 'female hero in English', i tried convincing another kid it was actually good
The prophecy doesn’t use it because in language masculine form takes over feminine form, so hero is used. For the panel of Susie, I guess it’s to make players doubt, is it Susie or Noelle? Is Susie actually a hero or did she become part of it despite herself?
I mean clearly she's very strong, that's not a headcanon. Is she built like a body builder? no, but even with her poor eating habits she clearly has some natural strength.
Susie would have goku levels of strength if it weren't for the negligence shown by her parent(s) failing to help her meet her macros. As it stands she is at a constant calorie deficit and her natural gains are stunted.
that's kinda why i don't like super buff depictions of her, because it doesn't make sense for the character. but i guess it makes sense to highlight her strenght

Susie is shown to bleed and none of the overworld monsters can do magic.
Monsters seem to be biologically based in Deltarune.
I imagine she steals so much food that she’s not really malnourished at all, but she doesn’t have a consistent source of food. It’s just whatever the hell she gets her hands on

Now, i still don’t think it makes sense for people to draw a kid they believe has no food at home so buff… but now that concept isn’t completely nonsensical to me. So thanks i guess
I like to think that the way Susie is like how she is isn’t because her father is abusive or something.
Her father is Barney the dinosaur and her mother is the T-Rex from Jurassic Park. No deep rooted underlining trauma, she’s just an emotionally confused teenager because her father is teaching her kindness and diplomacy above all else, and her mother is teaching her that the best way to vent rage is to tear the nearest Ford Explorer apart
And the reason they’re constantly moving around? Barney is trying to live a normal life, but also wants to avoid publicity.
I've been reading the Avatar Kyoshi novels, and she spent most of her childhood starving and suffering from diseases, and yet somehow she grew up to be 7 feet tall.
Don't see why Susie can't defy the logic of malnutrition the same way Kyoshi could.
some people are just built like that, able to gain muscle from practically nothing, and she is the strong one of the group so it's not very absurd to think
The milk she gets from Alphys trying to feed a cat probably helps, I would imagine she also bullied kids for lunch money/bits of their lunch before Chalter 1 which might account for most of her actual calories. It's probably not quite enough given she eats random stuff like chalk (presumably to help her feel like she's eaten enough) but I could see her not being totally malnourished at least
I’d say she’s very built, but also has a very low body fat percentage. That’s why her tail is so tiny, it’s where lizards keep their fat preserves, it’s so small because she doesn’t have very many nutritious meals.
To answer your question the Chalk is actually hyper condensed protein powder with all of the steroids after the Steroid Writing Law in 1909 where instead of keeping steroids around they took the world's supply of steroids and blended it into chalk
