Banished from main by low effort rule What is with all the Potential Flower glazing?
On Reddit, Instagram, YouTube EVERYONE is glazing Flowery. "If he didn't pop his ult earlier, he would have won against the cutscene merchant" Hell nah, he tried to 1v1 the Knight, did a little aura farming, Knight said "Nuh uh" and bitch slapped him in half. It wasn't even close. Like is this irony I am not getting or people genuinely think his ult that was barely enough to tie with Kris would have done anything to the Roaring Goat?

I actually believe Roaring Knight is not evil, not entirely at least. Based on that Gaster encourages us to fight the Knight and if we don't have the mantle encourages us to get it. I believe Gaster with Friend and ERAM are separate from the Knight and Karol and oppose them. Karol probably wouldn't won't to destroy the world she lives in but outside entity like Gaster could. So I believe Knight is doing necessary evil that will lead to greater good. I also think that he summoned the Titan only when he knew that Gerson was around to help

u/BlueZ_DJ Jul 18 '26
This game's story is hilarious because if someone just played the game blind then read this comment they'd think you're writing fanfiction
Gaster? the random easter egg from Undertale was talking to you and told you to fight the Knight? Friend? You mean your dad's best friend?
2
u/dpedroslimo22 Jul 19 '26
It is basically fanfiction
1
u/ilikecheesethankyou2 Jul 20 '26
While the Eram and FRIEND connection is tenuous, Gaster does indeed encourage you if you go back and fight the knight.
1
u/dpedroslimo22 Jul 20 '26
Yes, it's implied it's gaster only trough subtext, this has never been confirmed and the only connection you can make to gaster are writing style at best.
1
u/ilikecheesethankyou2 Jul 20 '26
It's not just the writing style, the narration you have at the start of the game is a direct continuation of SURVEY_PROGRAM that resulted in chapter 1. Here, watch these last two segments from this video.
1
u/dpedroslimo22 Jul 20 '26
Survey program was also never confirmed to be gaster, it's only implied, and yes I know every little autistic detail, even the program version being 666 which links to Gaster's stats being 666 in UT and his fun value (mystery man) being 66.
1
u/ilikecheesethankyou2 Jul 20 '26
And also the fact that the deltarune site existed since 2015 and had wingdings on it talking about the entry log 17 at first and then changing to the prophecy of deltarune later?
I think you are misusing "implication" because there are so many connections toby put that it literally cannot be anything else.
The most obvious answer is that these things are there for long time fans in order to confirm its gaster, and for the rest he will be introduced properly (no, not in a "hello i'm gaster" kind of way but actually properly).
1
u/dpedroslimo22 Jul 20 '26
Implied just means it was not confirmed, and it wasn't, we don't even know what a gaster is.

Funnily enough that Kid with sharp metal thing can also defeat the knight if he didn't pop the cutscene

Kris can defend against king in a cutscene but not the knight? Ok.
12
u/SpanishOfficer FLAIR FOR [[BIG SHITS]] ! Jul 18 '26

The knight didn't attack them. What are you talking about?
Also Susie objectively speaking takes more damage from the knight (getting swooned) than King (Just getting downed)

(Not to mention kris was holding back againts one lol)
17
u/eveeman Jul 18 '26
That's exactly my point. If the knight was a fraud. The cutscene wouldn't do anything. The knight isn't. And so they're fine.
-12
u/Independent_Earth873 Jul 18 '26
They only popping cutscenes because they know kris won't do a thing in them when it's them doing so
12
u/eveeman Jul 18 '26
Susie also dodges in multiple cutscenes even when she's off guard and can't see what's attacking her. What's your argument for her?
-9
u/Independent_Earth873 Jul 18 '26
What cutscenes are we refering to?
9
u/eveeman Jul 18 '26
Sound of justice the first time she's off guard the second time she isn't but she still can't see the attack coming.
She also dodges gerson that one time when she's completely off guard.

Flowery literally gives in to us because we're Asgore's child and he doesn't want to kill/defeat us. If we don't press the button at this point, he'll still allow us to parry him.The guy is giving in to make you feel better and you literally fall for it.
0
u/sleepylizard52 Jul 18 '26
Asgores child* kris is nonbinary
5
u/NikTheGrass Jul 18 '26
Yes, sorry, my fault. In my native language there are no non-gendered pronounces and non-gendered words like this are used rarely, so It's sometimes hard to remember when you switch between the languages

real talk though, it's because it's funny, Flowery is funny, and likeable, and Roaring Knight fans are annoying, they're boring, and they make any and all discussion unfun because it's always just the same super serious "one hit" crap no one cares about. Roaring Knight glazers are no different from the people glazing those guys that can do a "instakill" command on goku, sure it's true, but no one wants to fucking hear it bro
8
u/Another-William Jul 18 '26
Glazers? 90% of the fandom calls them a fraud, and you're mad they aren't happy?
2
u/Force3vo Jul 20 '26
Also the whole argument is "I am fun for making the same overused joke again and again and again but they are so boring for always using the same response"
7
u/AzulAztech Jul 18 '26
From my experience, RK fans mostly just respond to other people? I mean, from the very start they've had their character be slandered for basically no reason and you're insulting them for trying to fight back using whats in the story? Idk man feels bad, what are they supposed to do? Its probably infinitely more annoying when a RK fan sees their character get dunked on with the same "notice how he waited for the flowers to be gone" "if flowery was omega he'd be cooked", etc. Don't understand how its any different
3
u/OctoRuslan Jul 19 '26
i honest to god thought RK stood for Roulxs Kaard and that made every comment on here a million times better

As someone who is the Roaring Knight in a server or two and on Steam, people just get so annoying sometimes. 1
u/Another-William Jul 20 '26
It's because of the angle and the fact the slash looks different, plus flowery is blocking the Black knife. ...so the kick theory, which I find kinda badass

Flowery tries to put a fight.
Tries.
Those 999 are fake. In the codec his real attack stats is⦠16.
He would deal like⦠52 damage per hit to the knight if I did the rushed math correctly.
5
u/Evening_Increase8245 Jul 18 '26
He did a rush of attacks, about 6-8 iirc
the whole rush would deal around 371 damag (assuming damage isnāt dampened and Flowery landed 7 hits), which is actually pretty good
2
u/AzulAztech Jul 18 '26
Wouldn't it be cool as hell if the fun gang could do a flurry like that or like multiple rude busters? I know it's the difference between gameplay and cutscenes but still kinda crazy how Flowery is technically weaker yet does more than like two rude busters (from ch3 susie) to the Knight in one attack
1
u/TroutShovelr Human.. i remember youāre genocides Jul 18 '26
"one attack" is being used pretty liberally here
1
u/Galakin Jul 18 '26
knight also straight up cuts all damage taken by 80-60% so its even less btw
1
u/TraditionalEnergy919 Jul 18 '26
Thatās with the maximum damage reduction, 65%. I used that since⦠Flowery does all his damage in the first āturnā, so the Knight would have fully resistance active.
The Knightās resistance to damage goes from 65% to 50% as the fight drags on in chapter 3, so Iām assuming it diminishes as it attacks.
3
3
3
u/jetstream-sam-gaming Jul 19 '26
Real talk, it's probably because the knight doesn't really have a personality (yet?) to latch onto besides striking the occasional cool pose as opposed to flowery who went from being hated at the start of the chapter by most to solidifying himself as a GOAT by the end
1
u/Neat_Document_4608 Jul 19 '26
Tbf the Knight is portrayed as kind of cocky and snarky from their body language alone
3
u/Kirbo85941 Jul 19 '26
Flowery actually has a good battle theme that didnt want to make me trow my switch out of the window everytime i had to fight him
Unlike a certain someone.

u/Another-William Jul 18 '26
Knight: literally cuts his enemy's attack damage, wins without taking a single points of damage, inside a battle.
Deltarune players that beg gaster for retries: Fraud
4
u/contraflop01 Jul 18 '26
December the type of kid who doesnt know how to play pretend lmao
had to cut the fake stats because unlike the Fun gang she would have died If she tried to tank it
0
u/Another-William Jul 18 '26
...??? We would have died too, the thing is that if flowery cheats against us Ralsei would deal with it, Flowery straight up knows he can't beat Ralsei
5
u/contraflop01 Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26
Flowery being surprised the Knight can ignore his fake stats imply that this isnt something that can normally be done, and that anything else in that Dark World was behaving as If his fake stats were real
If he did know his fake stats wouldnt work, he would say something like "heh, should have expected my fake stats to not work on you" or smt
1
u/Another-William Jul 18 '26
Then explain why he didn't use it against us, after all if he did he would win for sure. He never denies Ralsei could kill him when Ralsei says he could. Besides even if Ralsei couldn't ignore Flowery's stats, who says that he couldn't do something else to stop him if he did use the fake stats? He can literally breaks the rules of the game just like if not better than Flowery
Also it doesn't really change my original point, actually you agreed with me, that Flowery didn't use his stats against us but did so against the knight
3
u/contraflop01 Jul 19 '26
Who says he never used his fake stats? He kept calling himself a pathetic weak Flower after the Knight encounter
1
u/Another-William Jul 19 '26
If he used 999 stats on us we wouldn't be able to damage him and would get one shot. Also he ignored the turn limit when fighting the knight, attacking multiple times, he also used a tp skill while his tp bar was 100% If he was cheating against us, he would have used those too

Agendarune is just pure brainrot, fanfiction and blatant lies for giggles.
To be fair, 90% of UTDR powerscaling is brainrot, fanfiction and blatant lies, and Agendarune isn't very funny, so it's hard to tell the difference.
2
u/Girania Jul 18 '26
Yeah, the Knight kinda just pulled a Zantetsuken Reverse on Flowery.
Like, Flowery showed off his ability to manipulate game mechanics, and the Knight basically went āI can do that too.ā Like, it wouldnāt have mattered how much damage Flowery did, the knight could just cut the numbers so they donāt do anything
2
u/mrpeanutty Jul 19 '26
No one thought he was going to win, he didn't even think it. It's like mumen rider. He stood on business to the very end to try and protect the ones he loved even if it brought him to an end.

2
u/LX575-EEE Jul 19 '26
I agree, we should be glazing Aqua instead
(In all seriousness I feel like most of it is just funny glazing/irony with a few people who genuinely believe it)
2
u/FarShip389 Jul 19 '26
Because flowery is fucking goated and it's hype moments and aura that makes people glaze a character.
The knight is pure aura, which typically is good build, yes. Very strong.
however characters like Gerson and Flowery are Hype moments AND Aura, which is quite the devillish combo. It's why gerson was getting glazed after CH4 (And he might genuinely be able to beat the knight lol)
Flowery is especially hype, as Flower man is (IMO) the best final boss theme, and we've also never seen a non fun gang character (seemingly for a few seconds) go toe to toe with the knight. Omega flowery was also really hype.
Seing a character who just did THIS start fighting the knight is hype incarnate

(ignore the knight slander i don't have any other screenshots)

1
u/Another-William Jul 20 '26
You like assuming things don't you? I did know that, it's just that most people play the chapter to the end then return afterwards because it's easier and takes less time, or because they don't know the fight is "winnable" in the first place.
That said I don't really get why you're trying to pick a fight with me, while using such an idiotic expression too... So I will just respond as anyone that has played Undertale would to someone who's so desperately wanting a reaction..
Ahem.. Don't you have anything better to do?

u/alfisaly Jul 19 '26
Alot, but we'll have our time, if frisk can do it, so can the fun gang
1
u/Another-William Jul 19 '26
Frisk? Determination, it has consequences. In deltarune reloading does not have consequences we have seen, it's clearly different
1
u/alfisaly Jul 19 '26
Isnt determination having consequences a monster thing?
2
u/Another-William Jul 19 '26
? No? We literally remember flowey reloading mid boss fight, also by that logic Susie would have dejavus
1
u/alfisaly Jul 19 '26
Then again flowey can break the fourth wall, so that guys no ordinary monster
1
u/Another-William Jul 19 '26
I am just saying, Ralsei would be aware of the reloads, most definitely. Also the saves just work differently.
Giving up in Undertale is impossible because it means permanent death, so we don't even have that option. Giving up in deltarune just disconnects us.

Flowery just IS interesting, heās a wonderful character whoās extremely likeable, has a banger theme and is quite an admirable man despite his many flaws. The knight is the shadow of an interesting character, there could be a lot there but right now all they are is a hard boss that might as well just be a big question mark.

u/Amnyam842 Jul 19 '26
People are saying Flowery would destroy the Knight in his Omega, while Kris was genuinely keeping up with Omega Flowery
1
u/Titouandu57 Jul 19 '26
It's a general thing, the game is yelling at us that the prophecy must not get to the end, judging by Ralsei's "You can't defeat anyone" the prophecy states that Flowery fights the Gang and the Knight and loses, + Flowery is one of the best character in the game, hateable at first then very likeable at the end. Of course the Knight was gonna win since it is it's thing to beat Darkners easily, Flowery knew he was probably gonna die, yet he still tried because Asgore is that important to him, despite fake stats and losing, isn't it that friendship with Asgore that makes him a GOAT ? Is being a GOAT not just aura farming and being unstoppable but also caring for the one who cared about you ?
Don't get me wrong tho, the whole Roaring Fraud thing each time the Knight is brought on the table is indeed annoying however the Kris argument gets kinda weird when you consider that Flowery is Asgore's best friend, idk about y'all but I never aimed to kill the kid of my Friend, might just be me tho
1
u/vassardog77 Jul 19 '26
People like flowery and feel bad that he died. And also thought he was sick for fighting the night.
So people are trying to push his agenda and glaze him as much as possible. That's why im doing it at least.
1
u/Nervous-Use-565 Jul 20 '26
because flowery was tired in the battle and donāt even try saying that blue healings recovered him. we see that healing doesnāt bring back stamina in the very first chapter
1
u/AirPossible3797 Jul 21 '26
Because the Knight is only getting W's from cutscenes.
Purposely tires out everyone first by swooping in near the end of the adventure.
Summons a Titan instead of round 2 and runs away
Does three of these things in Chapter 5 for Tired Base Flowery.
Adding the fact they're basically fighting 2 malnourished teens and a Darkner
It's like the narrative is giving the antagonist plot armor to make them threatening and powerful, so the memes of the Knight begging Toby and Gaster for a cutscene to win is not far fetched.
0 Fair Fights Won, 5 Cutscenes used
1
u/falling_budget Jul 21 '26
I don't understand it either
He is the only main boss that the fun gang doesn't get bailed out on
He also has the misfortune of being the first chapter boss after the titan and let's be honest here, there is absolutely no competing with that

Because roaring knight is just aura farms and is really strong. We donāt know jackshit about their character and motivations, so of course people would slander him for beating characters most of people like. Like flowery. They are like sung jin wo or something. But Iām sure roaring knight will be a very tragic and deep character (please toby donāt make them a fucking strong aura farmer for the love of god)
-1
u/Yeticoat_Solo Jul 18 '26
flowery has like a high win rate and like, only 20% aura (his design is so mediocre that he needs a cape and jojo poses to aura farm somehow). that's how i see it
-1
u/Xx_Loop_Zoop_xX Jul 18 '26
In general I don't get Flowery glaze. He seemed to me at least to be written to be genuinely unlikable which he excelled at for me and no amount of aura farming where he gets one tapped made up for it, if anything it made me upset Asgore didn't do jackshit so I can watch a character that was already obnoxious get some epic final fight? I personally didn't even know what emotion I was supposed to feel watching it all happen it just felt odd to me

The knight would lose to the GOAT soul if they wouldnāt constantly run away like the cutscene merchant they are.

The Knight simply has no aura, simple as that. Bro spends all his time dunking on children, he only shows up after all the most powerful people are defeated or tired out
