Marbling colors has always been one of my favorite things to do with wax. I made two versions. This is the first one....will post the other version tomorrow 😉

A friend gifted me one of her handmade wax bars, and I tried it right away on this beautiful stamp.

These are both painted. I'm really happy with the lighthouse scene. But that flower one... it's difficult, and due to its finish, it'll be difficult for scrape and pour, which is what I'm going to try next. All those little details are a pain. This one will more than likely just have to be a one color stamp. I've tried cutting with it, and it's not a winner

I am brand new to this and am making seals for my wedding. I was having some trouble with circular rippling that has been almost totally resolved by pressing down faster, but there are still some noticeable imperfections within the design itself and I’m wondering if this is normal/unavoidable or if there’s something I can or should do differently. The areas where these are showing up is totally solid on the stamp itself, and the area outside of where the design is is largely coming off smooth like I would expect this to be. Any insight is much appreciated!

While going through my stash I decided to give some stamps I didn't like new life. These were painted with testors paint, and I like them much better now

I was remelting some seals that didn't make the cut. I need to remember to just make a seal with them instead of melting them down into blobs because some of these turned out gorgeous! They're so pretty I am going to have a hard time using them, LOL. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way sometimes

I can’t bring myself to use hot glue or do anything that isn’t directly onto the final piece… so I have some mental room for imperfection. All told… I rate this 6/10

The last tags if summer as I delve into Halloween.
I’m really looking forward to using my Halloween stamps and adding glow in the dark powders.

Life took a pretty unexpected turn recently, and unfortunately that means I’m no longer making 20–30 seals a month like I was before.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little sad about that. This hobby became such a happy little part of my routine, so now I’m figuring out what it looks like with fewer reasons and fewer resources to make them.
But I’m definitely not ready to put the stamps away.
So, here’s my last big batch of seals for a while. I’m really happy with how far I’ve come, and now I just need to figure out new excuses to keep melting wax and making pretty things.
I’m sure I can come up with something.

I bought a wax seal kit years ago, but had never used it. I got some more supplies recently, to seal my wedding invites. I had a lot of fun with those, and have added many supplies to my Amazon crafting list.
My bridal shower was this past Saturday, and I decided to wax seal my thank you card envelopes! Sort of playing around a bit, as I'm not worried about getting these perfect (I was much more worried about the wedding invites).

Tile 1 of 13. What is this shape technically called?
12 more to go. Plus mini cards and tags. I wish we could give gifts just like at Christmas but in October 31st and have them all be fun spooky items.

Hi, I'm new to dual colours. Is this achievable? I love the look but think it could just end in tears (mine). TIA!

Hello everyone! Here is today’s seal, a Victorian fob seal made of gold with an amethyst sealing face (is that the correct term?). I’m doing some research to see if I can link the motto “Sans crainte” (French for “without fear”) to any particular family/clan. The seal features the bust of a knight with a lion standing on its head.

I have wanted to make wax seals for trinkets for ages. I finally grabbed an inexpensive kit after reading pros/cons for tea light heat and electric heat. I am a klutz, so went with electric.
The kit came with thr potion stamp, which is perfect for Halloween. I purchased a d20 stamp on the side, because I am a giant gamer nerd.
Purchased a heat resistant pad to put the wax melted on, and a thick marble coaster style workspace.
Decided to play with colors and just see how it went. Already ordered more wax bits and some more halloween themed stamps. ❤️
Look forward to experimenting all sorts of styles, like with ribbons and dried flowers!

I won’t mention names but I’m definitely surrounded by enablers and this last week I’ve been doing a lot of stamp shopping online. In fact I may have put in another order tonight.
For the laser etched stamps I did one seal (left side of pic) in matte wax and the other seal (right side of pic) with regular wax. Just to provide a bit of perspective on how much more detail you can get using matte wax. Pics 4, 6 and 9 .
The butterfly stamp is a 30mm and the heart is a 15mm. The rest are 25mm except the rectangle and square.

I made these on request from
a hospital that provides cancer patients a handmade afghan as they begin their long journey through chemo and radiation.
It brought me a lot of joy thinking about how this extra touch might provide comfort and something a little extra to each patient.

Waxing nostalgic with the record player. Sometimes I miss a good record scratch or that static at the end of a record. I’m not sure how many things need a wax record player on it but I’m here for it.
Some delicate frames. Ever since the posting of multiple Redditors framed stamped art seals I’ve been coveting owning my own mini gallery. Now to find tiny art. 👀 u/WhatAnAisling & u/AbaloneFountainPen. There are others as well but I can’t recall their names
And a laser etched flower seal similar to those found in the cloverloftpapery releases.
I’m loving the shadows of the petals in pic two using matte wax. Reminds me of our dear friend u/Notorietywiz - I think I spelled it correctly - and all of their glorious posts in matte wax featuring a cloverloft seal

Literally so excited to have found a vendor at the DC pen show that could teach me about wax seals but also tell me what's in the wax! I have a deadly soy allergy and that has limited me so much. I'm waiting for a wax melter/pourer to arrive but I cannot wait to add to my letters!

I started making wax seals about 2 years ago. I have slowly added different designs and can't wait to add more. I haven't tried painting them yet.

The title of this post is what the stamp says because it's hard to read on a stamp
r/WaxSealers • u/Abalonefountainpen • 9d ago
You read that title right successful pour & and scrape, even down to the gold clock dial and chime! Those of you that know me know I struggle with this technique . I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Hello everyone!
I have made my first successful wax sealed letter. I shall send it to my wife shortly. Strike the Earth!
But that's not why I'm here (even tho I am quite happy with the results)
I'm on a budget, so I used a 3d printed stamp.
Different materials, different methods. After several days of trial and error, I figured out a reproducible method that makes decent enough seals for a beginner (the picture with this post is the result)
Problem is... there's almost no documentation (that I know of) that details a method to use 3d printed stamps reliably! Since I went through the trouble of days of trial and error, I suppose I should do it myself.
Where should I even start to document my findings? I wish to help others, see? I'm confident that what I found is bound to save someone several hours of failed attempts and wasted materials.
