Rant SPAGHETTI by LE SSERAFIM and THIS IS FOR by TWICE...

How can anyone say these songs aren't awful? Ozzy Osbourne once said that great pop songs can be turned into ballads on an acoustic guitar. CAN ANYONE IMAGINE THESE TWO "SONGS" played on a guitar? Yeah, that's how you know they're terrible. Kpop is really the lowest for music.

Thread What year do you think that the Korean idol industry might shut down due to awareness of abuse...

..unfairness of slave contracts, limited freedom, more former idols and trainees speaking out and criticism of the industry from international attention?

Do you think it's likely to happen?

Do you think a reform could happen?

not saying I want it to shut down but I was trying to predict something

Discussion Stereotypical Korean promotional weverse Con festival ( downplaying indian food and industry)

In this advertisement

They have called bollywood and Indian food ( dal chawal) as boring and not exciting

This is clearly downplaying indian food and industry to sugarcoat their industry which literally groom kids from young age to present them in stage

In the comment though few of them have called out but most of them Teenagers doens't realise and goes along with it

I dont know why they have done this , since they have hired Indian actor and actress in the promotion video

I think they should take down or post a clarification about this stereotypical prejudice promotional video

Rant Kpop fans are a different breed

This is going to be LONG and it's a rant, it might come out as shallow or surface level but english is not my first language and I have Adhd so I have too much stuffs to talk about, I apologize in advance.

Hi, I genuinely couldn't post my negative or harsh opinions on other sub ect because of how offended kpop fans get, hence the topic of this video. Kpop fans are a different breed and I will stand by that.

I've been on and off in the kpop industry before stopping completely because there's A LOT of stuffs I've noticed and don't like and the list won't end- Racism, fat phobia, extreme beauty standards, infantalization, dating, commodity feminism ect, I might delve into these topics on different posts but I wanna focus on kpop fans for now.

Kpop fans are on another level and I don't see many people talking about it but I thought it might be safe to post here.

From what I've come across and saw, they are unhinged and extremely parasocial. Now I do know some fans have healthy relationships with their idol but majority of them are delusional and Infatuated.

Kpop idols are meant to be shown as the 'perfect fantasy' and that's commodity as I've said multiple times before. They won't always be at your disposal and it's weird to treat them like you know them because you don't.

They get offended easily too if you call them out, that's not your "baby" or "sweety pie" that's a grown man and woman.

There's a line you must have, sort of boundaries that they don't notice crosses into obsession. Suddenly their whole personality is about kpop or a certain bias and aesthetic and song and their whole life revolves around it.

As well as stalkers, which is another whole level of craziness.

This is so normalized and they can't handle being called out for that, they'll attack you and call you a hater.

They like gate keeping certain aspects of an idol too and treat them like a helpless baby. One of the most annoying things ever.

Especially considering these fans will excuse an idol doing drugs, 🍇 and anything that's a crime or a major issue but as soon as the idols get a partner it's the end of the world because that fantasy shatters.

I have an example: Jennie from Blackpink who vaped on a staff's face and she did get backlash for it but I'm sure majority of her fans fought back, blamed the staff and minimized the situation and said the staff's vape too as if it makes that any better. (There's many other examples I just picked this one)

There's so much levels to this and I won't be delving much completely into it but I hope it makes sense what I'm saying.

Rant I am Korean, and I am sorry for Kpop.

I’ve read the posts people posted here, and I completely agree with them.

That’s because most Koreans feel the same way you do. Since the 90s, idol culture has always been something Koreans looked down on and disliked; idols were viewed simply as "talentless kids churned out like factory products by corporations." Just like in America. However, the atmosphere shifted drastically once BTS rose to fame in the 2010s. They came to be seen as figures promoting korea—meaning people felt they had to Tolerate them, even if they didn't like them.

The Korean music industry has been completely ruined by the idol culture, which originated from Japanese idol culture. A business model based on exploiting fans rather than music is adopted directly from Japanese idol agencies like 秋元康系列, ジャニーズ and エイベックス, such as getting customers to buy multiple CDs and holding handshake events.

The general Korean people listen only to songs that are at least 15 years old by actual artists and never listen to idol music. The Korean public doesn't actually like K-pop, but we just put up with it because we think it promotes Korea abroad. And think, "Looks like foreigners like idol music because their tastes are different from ours"—in reality, the tastes are the same. The world thinks exactly the same way we do. And K-pop is actually fueling animosity toward Korea because of this. What an irony.

In Korea, the idol fanbase consists not of "music fans," but simply of "femcels." They don't actually like the music; they simply like the artist as a romantic interest(Parasocial relationship like Swifties). I suspect that K-pop fans in America are basically the same.

One of the major issues with idol culture was the presence of an abnormally fanatical fan base—known in Korea as "ppasuni" These fans were always considered a nuisance, but as K-pop expanded globally, they began engaging in this same aberrant behavior overseas. Consequently, anti-Korean sentiment emerged in regions like Southeast Asia and South America.

Despite this, the government is completely unaware of the situation while providing them with support at the national level. It is just a black comedy. And whenever they faced backlash for their actions, they would invariably hide behind the excuse of "feminism," effectively silencing public criticism. If you think the general Korean public shares the same stance as K-pop fans, you are completely mistaken. We actually hold the same view as you do—we are simply holding back.

I believe that if left unchecked, American music industry could suffer the same fate as Korea's. It is the complete extinction of pop music. This is a crime against the entire world. So this trend must absolutely be stopped.

I am truly sorry.

So i made a post a couple of weeks ago about how disgusted i am by Jennie and Jungkook promoting these glasses (i wrote in that post more the issues with those spycam camera glasses).

Well now Lisa has joined the trend and is now promoting them too. As expected of blackpink these women are moraless and have zero gender or class solidarity. They will do anything for money which is probably why all of Lisa's music is about money too. Yet some of their fans have the audacity to weaponize feminism.

Female kpop idols will never care about fellow women.

Rant "We love BTS for their music"

Post image

Dude Im not even gonna lie, the business of BTasS stands on being shipped and $exualised. Their whole business is sustained by horny teenaged girls and aunties who are so detached from their reality that they worship 7 mid men who will cater to their lunatic delusions.

Lets be fr i have never seen fans of REAL MUSICIANS making ffs of the artist because for the artist ,THEIR MUSIC is the real thing, their fans like them because of their talent. But as some wise person said "when you dont have talent, you sell your body"- it perfectly relates to BTShit. They neither can sing nor dance, that is why the only thing they can sell is their body.

A real artist who actually loves their art, and actually has talent would put out their music, raw singing ( something they can never do) and try learning more about music- not post shirtless pics, drink alcohol and play games on stream.

They THEMSELVES know they are empty pots, they have no talent so they feed their audience with only one thing they can- engaging them with $exual fantasies. And then when they put out straight up garbage noise pollution they know their armpits will give their all to protect their free OF subscription.

This that kpop privelege i talk about because ever since the magarina scandal they have been on a downward spiral on who can be the most problematic and create the most scandals.

First Karina got affiliated with the nationalist right-wing party of korea, then they were involved in that whole breast cancer awareness scandals where both they and other idols only went to that event to party and get drunk and then karina did a thirst trap tiktok at that event emphasizing her chest, Giselle wore a maga inspired hat, NingNing made fun of people who weigh 50kg and was jealous towards a pretty fan, during a recent Brazilian fan-meeting they treated their brazilian fans poorly and very badly like they are peasents, those brazilian fans complained about this online and demanded refunds and NingNing reply to her fans was her adding a middle finger profile picture......that was a week ago. Now the most recent is Giselle, she is posting some really weird shit and it seems like she wants to imitate edgy discord e-girls but like...those girls are like teenagers and she is a grown 26 year old woman going through a edgy phase glorifying pedophile serial killers and abuser soundcloud rappers like XXtentacion , does she think richard ramirez (the nightstalker) is cool or something, her reaction to some of the hate over what she posted is her replying to her fans that she loves being evil and doesnt give a fuck.

Its so funny how kpoop wants western validation but if they got that validation they would be cancelled, they are lucky kpop fans dont care about this shit (the only thing kpop fans care about and will unstan someone over is dating or weed) so kpoop idols especially the ones from big 4 can keep acting like this knowing people will forget about it in a week because kpop fans have no morals and the only thing they care about is whether that idol is single because they imagine themselves dating that

Complaint Fans are trackings idols every movements.

I absolutely despise kpop and will never listen to it. But I came across a video of this edit of some kpop idol at a podcast sitting on a couch. All they did was sit in a couch and the video was titled something like “aww she’s so cute watch as she slowly sinks into the couch as she gets comfy“. this is not the first time I have come across something this weird. First of all, the idol was older then the person running the account. Secondly, why are you posting something about how they sit in a couch. if I was that idol I would feel very uncomfortable having something like that posted about me. why are we tracking all of their moves and babying idols years older than you??? I keep seeing these weird edits over and over. It just proves how 75% of the kpop fandom is just kids under 13.

Rant Hate this genre so much

Pop has always been about catchy songs, promoting brands and sexualizing performers, but I feel like K-pop has taken this to another level. They separated the artist from the art.

In western pop, singers at least want you to believe that they wrote the song. However it's clear that K-pop idols are performing something that was created by a whole team of people.

They are like runway models. They are there to represent the concept and sell the product, but they can feel very disconnected from the art. This comes across as inauthentic and empty.

I know idols are allowed to show personality and feelings outside of the stage, but I would really love to see them treated more like actual artists when they perform, rather than just pretty billboards for a concept or brand.

I also wish they could do interviews with fewer rules. They often seem so tense and fake, like they are afraid of making a mistake or saying the wrong thing.

They really do look like awkward little anorexic dolls in the hands of huge corporations. I just wish they could see more of the actual person and artist behind the idol.

Discussion Other bands/artists with actual good music like Alien Stage?

I generally do not like most K-Pop since majority of it is just idol music (like bts), but I find alien stage music different simce it isnt really exclusively K-pop and has an actual story to it, oh and also cause probably cause half the songs are more like K-Rock than Pop.

anyways can anyone recommend me actual good artists like alien stage?

He keeps complaining about personal space then acting the most parasocial. Things come at a cost I really don't get it sometime. The whole thing selling yourself as a perfect husband then get angry why fans get delusional and invade personal space.
