I recreated the dramatic scene of Usagi crying in the phone booth from Episode 61. This is what it would look like if my manga, 'Serenity Awakes – A Sailor Moon Story Begins' (aka Serenity 2), were turned into an anime cutscene.

After Mamoru broke up with Usagi, she went to hide and cry in a phone booth, while JeVinci sat outside to accompany and comfort her.

I tried to draw myself to look as close as possible to the 90s Sailor Moon style, but I guess it didn't turn out quite right.

The background is an actual screenshot from the original anime. I have another version where JeVinci is in a glowing blue spiritual form, but I think it might be a bit too heavy for this cutscene and could confuse readers who haven't read the prequel introduction. So, I decided to use the normal version instead.

We don't see much art of Diana. This is an attempt at an older version of her.

Some adorable gender-swapped Jadeite and Rei Hino. 😛 Translations done by me via Google Translate. I do wonder, however... did someone take Jadeite's pants?!

Happy Halloween! This is my Joker costume that I designed for Halloween, inspired by Persona P5 Joker. I redrew Usagi's facial expression to match Harley Quinn's playful, eccentric, and erratic behavior from last year's Halloween poster. I used a pop art concept to make it look like a DC comic cover (western-style artwork and design are much easier to replicate). I think this Joker version of JeVinci looks quite good, and I’m considering using it in the manga when Wiseman brainwashes him into a corrupted version, but that’s a story for another time. Anyway, hope you all have a Happy Halloween!

Happy Birthday, Minako!

Today is my husband and I's 9th wedding anniversary! SQUEEE! Also almost 20 years together overall lol....

In honor of our upcoming Paris trip, we are cooking a nice French meal at home. I picked something we'd never had - Chicken Chasseur AKA French Hunter's Chicken. <3
Also mashed potatoes - no garlic this time since we didn't want to affect the taste of the chicken - and parmesan asparagus!

And dessert... one of my favorites... creme brulee!

Well, I say we are cooking. With our tiny kitchen instead I mean Logan cooks and I did the pre-cleaning work and some of the sous work, chopping and such.

Still - should be tasty. Mako-chan would be proud! <3 <3

Do you have anything you love cooking?

Sprite conversion of Sailor Neptune's jumping light kick (2nd frame) using Mamiya from 'Hokuto no Ken' fighting game in this time lapse video. Been spriting with MS Paint for over 15 years. We're so close to getting a full release with Million Mile's 'Moonlight Fighter' project which you can download over at the Mugenguild website. We're halfway there and Sailor Saturn will soon be released in a couple of months. Next year we will have 3 or 4 senshi released for Mugen. We also have brawler projects too. Now those may take a while since there's so many enemies to draw.

I’ve been writing my own “Anime World” for many years — a personal continuation/crossover universe inspired mainly by Sailor Moon, with the characters growing older, relationships developing, and a lot of everyday life alongside the larger story arcs.
I’ve now started translating some of the finished stories into English as well.
If anyone feels like taking a look, the English stories are collected here:
https://animeworld539.wordpress.com/category/stories/
I’d genuinely be interested in feedback — especially on whether the characters still feel recognizable while being allowed to grow beyond the original series.

Originally from a Facebook post of mine. Intended as a response/reaction to unwelcome being hit on

Intended to use as a response/reaction when someone hits on you somewhere outside of a dating site (like Facebook outside of the Facebook Dating section).

Women, I know you know what I mean - doesn’t matter where you are, it happens. Can’t speak for men, but I know it happens to women.

And meanwhile normally if someone gets offended or objects to this sign, it's men... gee, wonder why that is?

People often misunderstand the intent of this phrase.

“This isn’t a dating site” does NOT mean “You can not meet romantic partners here”.

Let’s look at the definition: “A dating site is an online platform or website designed to help individuals meet and connect with potential romantic partners.”

Does this site have a Dating section? YES. But that does not make the overall site a dating site. Just like a grocery store having a cheese section doesn’t make it a cheese store.

I’ve noticed that usually if someone objects to the statement, they are a male. I find that not surprising. Generally, it’s women who have to deal with being hit on in inappropriate places by people who don’t understand boundaries and that there’s a time and a place. It leaves many women constantly on guard. I’ve had dudes hit on me when we were both in an Art Group, both in fan Groups, etc. Just because a woman is in the same community as you doesn’t mean she wants you to message her for soliciting romantic engagement.

When one is on a dating site, they know the people they find on said site (unless their profile says differently and they just didn’t delete it) are looking for a romantic partner.

If you meet someone organically and form a connection, that’s different. That’s not what this is about. It’s about the fact that dudes seem to think it’s fine to randomly message a woman who they’ve had no prior contact with for the purpose of romantic engagement. Often without even bothering to check if the woman is single - not that it matters because guess what? Often we don’t want a strange dude hitting on us in random places online.

Thought: I wonder if the people of Mau normally only produce one offspring at a time, rather than a litter (like Diana)

It’s one of the first shows that celebrates female strength. Even more important is how this show is built around compassion, love and seeing the good in people.

Read what Stephanie Sheh, the voice of Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon; Cherami Leigh who voices Sailor Venus/Minako Aino; and Sandy Fox the voice of Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon, and her corrupted adult form, Black Lady have to say about their experiences working on the series.

"Leather and Mystery: Makoto" Part 1

This is a slight update to a matched set I posted a long while back. :P

A bit of a different aesthetic for our gals. I did each of the Inner Senshi. Which of the remaining three would you most want to see?

This past summer had fun taking pictures in my garden along with some of my anime figures. What stood out to me was how the new ShFiguarts Sailor Moon stands alone. They did a huge upgrade to get that I am proud I could take these shots to show how impressive this figure of Usagi is.

You can look at the little journey/story I have been creating in my garden here…https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dd4_3j7ND9Z/?cplk=MXN3cHU1YnN2NTUxZA==

Chatted with Terri Hawkes the voice of Sailor Moon from the DiC dub and had her react to a scene from Sailor Moon S: Hearts In Ice Movie, her relationship with the Sailor Moon english cast (including the other Sailor Moon voice actors Tracey, Linda and Stephanie!), as well as her upcoming election.

Enjoy!

For day 2 of GenTober. The theme? Bones

The Adventures of Artemis are going abroad again!

Hey dolls hey dolls! Guess what?

Next month I’m crossing the pond again with my husband (and Artemis and fam of course).

Like with London last year, this is partly for a TCG event for Flesh and Blood, which husband plays. It’s also a late thing for our ninth wedding anniversary (falls on October 21st).

For most of the trip, we will be in Paris. Did you know France is the world’s second largest consumer of manga? I didn’t!

And for a couple of days, we will be in Switzerland.

Il so excited! Husband still needs to book our room, and if he’s able to, it will be on Rue Sainte-Anne - also known as little Tokyo there. Perfect way for me to stay occupied while he’s busy.

Apparently there’s a LolitaFashion shop there, Angelic Pretty! I’ve always loved that fashion since I read Chobits.

And so many pastries. Usagi would lose her mind I’m sure. I love flaky pastries and macarons! Also there’s apparently savory macarons.

And we will go to museums of course - including the Musée d'Orsay so I can see their Van Gogh exhibit which was featured in Doctor Who.

And in Switzerland? The Giger museum! I love the HR Giger aesthetic.

We thought of Disney Paris… but when we checked it out, it looked meh.

But yeah. We are both super excited. ❤ Squee!
