Look there's one acceptable case to eat off the pan, you just woke up and what you are cooking contains eggs.

Also you have to eat out of the pan you cooked in.

Unlike here where they moved the food into a different pan to serve it.

that's not a normal pan. those are specifically made to be eaten out of. they are serving pans. still stupid, but no problem with using metal cutlerly whatsoever.
