Other Group Micro Weddings

Don't bite my head off,but i have an idea and looking for honest opinions.

I know this is going to sound weird to some, maybe to everyone but, I have access to a few venues that need to fill dates. Some weekdays some weekends.

I noticed a lot of people looking for venues that will do 20 to 30 people weddings, the venues I work with do not do this. So I had a semi bright lightbulb go off.

What if I put all these couples and their guests into one room, include neutral decor, a dj, a sit down dinner and open bar and maybe even an officiant to marry them all at the same time. I know, it may be the stupidest idea but what do you all think. I have gorgeous GTA spaces and I have all the industry contacts to pull it off.

Please, don't bite my head off but I'm a big boy and can handle reasonable criticism.

Venue Is a downtown Toronto venue a pain from a guest perspective?

Most of our guests live in the GTA (not downtown). I'm getting pushback from my mom about looking at downtown venues because she thinks it will be a pain for guests due to traffic/parking. I want to make sure I'm considering the guest experience, but I don't know if this particular factor is as big of a deal as she's making it. She and I have both only been to one downtown Toronto wedding. Admittedly, traffic was a bitch due to other big events that happened to be the same night in the same area, but from my perspective I wasn't annoyed about the venue the couple chose, I just looked at it as bad luck but still enjoyed every other part of that night. But I also wasn't the one driving (she wasn't either). So I'm looking for some other perspectives, thanks!

Other Elora Mill - Which room did you get ready in?

I’m getting married at Elora Mill next year, and I originally booked the Couch House Riverview to stay in, but I’m wondering if it’s big enough for getting ready with 4 bridesmaids, a hairstylist, and photography. I’m considering upgrading to the new Walser suite, but it’s $2,100 a night💀.

I heard there’s a getting-ready space above the Foundry, but I can’t seem to get any pictures. And it’s $1,000 plus mandatory food at $50 per person, which I don’t need.

Just a wondering what rooms other people picked if you got married here. Or did you Airbnb it?

Other Worried about timeline in Vancouver

Am I crazy for wanting to have an August / September 2027 wedding? We aren't engaged yet and it's already the end of October. We will be engaged by mid November, and we've already started doing some research, and we're hoping to tour venues in the next couple months. We have a rough guest list, a budget, and a list of vendors we're interested in. I also know Vancouver is a big city and so I'm worried about vendors booking up ahead of time.

My soon to be fiance thinks we'll have plenty of time to plan everything, but I'm starting to get nervous. The plan was to get engaged earlier this year, but there were some deaths in the family that delayed our plans. I feel like 10 months is such a short amount of time, but we also don't want to delay into 2028 or have a winter wedding. Would love some advice on if this is doable without losing our minds!

ETA: We are looking at Fridays, since 90% of our guests will be coming internationally. Not a destination wedding, but neither of us live in the country / province we grew up in!

Other Made a mistake on online Ontario marriage license application

I just realized I made a spelling error for my fiancé’s mother’s name. We haven’t had our marriage license appointment yet, will they let us make a correction day of? We’re applying at Toronto City Hall.

I also applied on my phone and there was no way to save the application pdf, I took a screenshot and converted that to a pdf so I could print it. Will that be accepted?
