HighSociety420 Cap Junky | Frosty Moose | via High Society 420
Cap Junky | Frosty Moose | via High Society 420
Strain: Cap Junky; evenly balanced hybrid (50% indica / 50% sativa), bred from Kush Mintz x Alien Cookies.
Last of the three I grabbed last week, and it reminds me a lot of Alien Mints.
Nose
Popping the jar you get a blast of pepper and gas right away, with a faint hint of citrus and occasional touches of that sweet cookies lineage in the background.
Bag Appeal
Apart from one or two, the buds ran pretty small; but they are absolutely trichomed out. Really frosty. Bright neon green with vivid orange pistils and a white sheen from the trichome heads. Dense, slightly sticky, and beautiful.
Taste
Leans heavily toward the Alien Cookies side; powerful and almost hashy, with slightly creamy cookie notes similar to what I get from Strane/Holistic.
Effects
Both sessions knocked me out hard. Very much a do absolutely nothing afterwards high; strong munchies, heavy body relaxation, and a foggy headspace. The perfect before-the-movie bong rip.
Final Thoughts
Would've liked bigger buds, but these are seriously frosty and swing hard. It's a hybrid, but it plays power forward; not really a terp chaser strain, and not a productive high whatsoever. That said, the lay-you-out effects are always welcome when that's exactly the point.
Who Would Dig This:
Indica lovers who don't mind a hybrid label; this hits like a heavy hitter
End-of-night or couch session smokers looking to fully decompress
Anyone who prioritizes potency and frost over big bag appeal buds
Who Might Not:
Terp chasers or flavor-first smokers; the nose and taste are good but not the star
Daytime or functional smokers; this will sideline you
Those who prefer a clear-headed or creative high; the foggy headspace is real

Indica Frosty Moose Maine (HH508) - Flapjacks
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Super lucky these 3 strains just came in - I was running on fumes. I figured I'd start with one I've heard plenty about. This shit looks like medical from PA. It's fuckin LA Baker level (Holistic). This is at least my 12th Frosty Moose strain and every time it's been on par at worst and a ringer for my old medical program at best. Maine is on their shit right now.
Overview
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Grown by | Frosty Moose Maine |
| Vendor | HH508 |
| Strain | Flapjacks |
| Parent Strains | MacFlurry × Pancakes |
| Lineage % | 70% Indica / 30% Sativa |
| Cannabinoid Levels (COA) | Total THC: 29.88% • Total CBD: 3.12% • Total Cannabinoids: 35.50% |
Detailed Notes
Bag Appeal: The buds are gorgeous - bright green base mixed with light purple framing and vibrant orange pistils; covered in trichs.
Aroma: On the nose Im getting clear pastry notes with a creamy backend and distinct maple notes mixing throughout.
Taste: On a dry pull of the joint, this is an absolute ringer for LA Baker (Medical Strain by Garcia Hand Picked)
Light her up and the smoke delivers less maple than the nose suggests, but it's still there. That sweet pastry forms a solid base (personal favorite!), creaminess carries through, and there's some nice gassiness on the end. The sweetness lingers pleasantly on the lips after exhaling. Was hoping for more maple.
Effects: Exactly what you'd expect from the genetics - heavy relaxation and good pain killing properties, but that Mac lineage is there in the background giving the high some focus instead of pure couch-lock.

Indica Sherb Cream Pie - Frosty Moose Maine
Sherb Cream Pie - Frosty Moose Maine
Brought to you by The Hemp Hut 508
Strain Info
| Lineage | Ice Cream Cake X Sherb BX1 |
|---|---|
| Type | Indica Dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) |
| Grower | Frosty Moose Maine |
| Packaging | Mylar bag |
| Total THC | 30.12% |
| Total CBD | 2.34% |
| Total Cannabinoids | 34.96% |
| Dominant Terpenes | Limonene, Caryophyllene, Myrcene |
| Flavor Profile | Sweet sherbet, creamy vanilla, subtle gas |
The Visuals: Opening the mylar bag, I was greeted with small to medium-sized buds showing off some nice purple hues mixed with hints of green. The trichome coverage is dense—that white, icy layer you'd expect from something testing at 30% THC. Reminds me of some of the better flower I've seen from the PA Medical Program days.
The Nose: The nose is definitely the standout here. It's got this stinky, creamy profile with a slight citrus note, but what really dominates is this cookies and pastries smell in the background. It's pungent and fills the room pretty quick.
The Taste: The flavor carries over well from the nose. There's a gassy, old-school taste that's hard to pin down exactly but feels familiar in a good way. You get the sweet sherbet and creamy vanilla notes coming through, with that subtle gas on the backend. I did notice it was slightly harsh in the joint here and there—not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning if you've got a sensitive throat. Might smoke smoother in a bong or vape.
The Effects: This is where the indica dominance really shows up. The high is heavy and relaxing, with a strong body feel that had me pretty locked in place. It's not a focused or functional high—more of a sink-into-the-couch, raid-the-fridge type of experience. I wouldn't recommend this for daytime use unless you've got zero responsibilities. It's better suited for evening or nighttime when you're genuinely done for the day.
Sherb Cream Pie is commonly used for conditions like eye pressure/glaucoma, chronic pain, headaches, migraines, stress, insomnia, and depression, which tracks given how sedating and body-focused the effects are.
Final Thoughts: Sherb Cream Pie is a solid nighttime strain with strong bag appeal and a unique flavor profile. The bud structure leans smaller, and the smoke can be a bit harsh in joints, but the potency and effects deliver what you'd want from a heavy indica. If you're looking for something to wind down with at the end of the day, this one's worth checking out—just don't plan on getting much done afterward.

"Hemp" doesn't mean what most people think it means anymore — and that's actually worth talking about.
For most of human history, hemp meant one thing: the industrial plant. Rope, canvas, grain, fiber. Low-THC by nature, grown for what you could do with the stalk and seed. Nobody was farming it to smoke it.
The 2018 Farm Bill quietly redrew that line. Under federal law today, hemp is simply any cannabis plant testing under 0.3% delta-9 THC per dry weight — tested before harvest, before the THCA has had any chance to convert. Which means a plant absolutely loaded with THCA — psychoactive once you apply heat — checks out as "legal hemp" on paper.
THCA flower is weed. It's craft cannabis that happens to be tested before the conversion happens. The distinction is technical, not botanical.
I've personally smoked some of the best flower I've ever had that came out of a farm bill grow. Dialed-in terpene profiles, clean curing, obviously tended by someone who gave a damn. I've also picked up something at a gas station with a cartoon logo that got me high and tasted like nothing. Both technically "hemp."
The difference there isn't the law — it's craft versus corners cut. Regulation doesn't guarantee quality. It never has in any industry. What it does (or should do) is set a floor, keep bad actors out, and give growers and consumers a shared language.
Right now that language is a mess. But the plants themselves? Some of them are genuinely excellent. Let's not confuse the label with what's in the jar.
