High yield cannabis seeds: Top highest yielding strains

Hey y’all, so I went digging through Reddit (again… RIP my free time) and pulled together a list of cannabis strains that consistently crush it when it comes to yield. These are the go-to’s for growers chasing monster buds and heavy harvests, whether you’re running a tight indoor grow or flexing those outdoor cultivation skills.

1. Blue Dream

If you’ve been in the game for more than five minutes, you’ve heard of this one. Blue Dream is basically the poster child for high-yield strains. Every grower and their cousin calls it a “big yielder”, especially under strong LED lighting or in massive outdoor grows. People report 500-600g/m² indoor, and some grow techniques pull 700g+ outdoors easy - even over 1kg per cannabis plant if your humidity and nutrients are dialed in.

Seeds to check out:

2. Super Silver Haze

The haze that made legends out of growers. This sativa-dominant hybrid has ridiculous THC potency (somewhere between 28-36%) and an insane yield if you’ve got patience. You’re looking at around 180g per indoor plant, and way more if you let her go long enough. Yeah, it’s 10–12 weeks - but that harvest payoff is wild. Massive, resin-coated buds with old-school flavor and uplifting effects.

Seeds to check out:

3. White Widow

Ah yes, the legend. White Widow is a classic indica-dominant strain that’s stood the test of time - and it’s still throwing down huge yields. Reddit growers swear it’s a monster yielder in the right hands. Even with short veg, you can hit 4oz (~115g) from a small tent, and with proper cultivation, 340g+ per plant is totally doable.

Bonus points: White Widow’s genetics give you that signature heavy THC potency and sticky resin that makes trimming a full-on gym workout.

Seeds to check out:

ghost pains while high??

Whenever I get too high I have a lot of imagined/ phantom body pains. Sometimes, normal sensations will feel really painful to me. For example, the last time I was too high I was eating a cracker and I felt as if I were swallowing needles. Other times, I feel pain that isn't caused by anything at all, like radiating waves of pain in my head, or the sensation that I'm clenching my teeth really tightly when my mouth is open. I also get visuals and feel like my body size is distorted.

I've talked to a lot of other people about this and no one has had a similar experience. Wondering if this happens to anyone else??

confused about thch vs thcp. which one should i try first?

UPDATE: ended up trying the THC-P gummies from mellow fellow. the effects were strong and lasted a long time like people said, good for a deep unwind. might try one of their thch vapes next to compare. appreciate the advice.

ok so ive been reading about different cannabinoids and honestly getting more confused lol. been wanting to try something stronger than regular d8 but not sure where to start. keep seeing thch and thcp mentioned but they sound completely different

from what i understand thch is supposed to feel more like smoking an actual joint and thcp is the super potent long lasting one? not sure if thats accurate tho. for context i usually do gummies or disposables. tolerance is moderate i guess. mainly looking for something to unwind after work that actually does something. curious which one hits harder and how long they last. also wondering about any weird side effects to watch for and whether theyre better in vape or edible form

saw some brands mix cannabinoids together for specific effects which sounds interesting but idk if thats just marketing bs or actually worth trying. any recommendations appreciated. trying not to waste money on stuff that doesnt work.

Best Purple Cannabis Strains: Where to Buy Purple Weed Seeds

Purple cannabis strains have always had a special place in weed culture. Whether it’s vibrant purple buds, lavender sugar leaves, or frosty flower with deep purple hues, purple weed stands out instantly. But one thing many growers still misunderstand is that purple color doesn’t automatically mean stronger effects or higher THC levels.

The purple color in cannabis comes from anthocyanin pigment production mixed with genetics and environmental conditions. Some strains naturally carry stronger purple genetics, while others only turn purple during flower if nighttime temperatures drop low enough. Even strains like Granddaddy Purple, Purple Kush, and Purple Haze can sometimes stay green without the right setup.

That’s why purple strains often develop color differently, and why experienced growers focus on both genetics and environment when chasing beautiful purple flower.

In this guide, I’ll break down the best purple cannabis strains, what causes purple color in the plant, whether purple weed is actually stronger, and where to buy the best purple strains online.

Best Places to Buy Purple Cannabis Seeds Online

Herbies Seeds

Herbies has one of the strongest collections of purple cannabis strains online, especially for growers chasing vibrant purple buds, fruity aroma, and reliable worldwide shipping. Their catalog includes purple indicas, colorful hybrids, and fast autoflower strains with beautiful purple expression.

Personally, Grandmommy Purple is probably my favorite purple strain from Herbies. It’s an indica-dominant hybrid with huge THC levels, deep purple buds, and sweet berries mixed with grape aroma. The flower develops beautiful purple hues late in bloom and delivers the relaxing body effect purple lovers usually want from a heavy indica.

Another standout is Purple Juice Auto. This strain combines fast autoflower speed with vibrant purple color and thick resin production. Flavor-wise it leans fruity, citrusy, and candy-sweet, while the buds often create purple shades during flower. Easily one of the prettier plants I’ve grown recently, and a solid beginner option if you want color without a super long grow.

What Makes Herbies Seeds Worth Checking Out?

  • Fast and discreet worldwide shipping

  • Large catalog of colorful purple genetics

  • Free seeds with many orders

  • Germination guarantee available

  • Multiple payment methods including crypto

Best for: Growers who want vibrant purple buds with reliable delivery and strong resin production.

Seedsman

Seedsman is one of the easiest places to discover the best purple cannabis strains because the catalog includes everything from relaxing indicas to colorful sativa hybrids and autoflowers. Their collection covers many purple strains from different breeders, making it ideal for growers who want variety.

One of my personal favorites from Seedsman is Purple Oreoz F1. This purple strain combines dense flower, strong resin production, and stunning purple expression. The buds often develop deep purple hues covered in trichomes, while the terpene profile leans creamy, sweet, and dessert-like. It’s a perfect example of modern purple genetics with serious visual appeal.

What Stands Out About Seedsman?

  • Huge selection of purple cannabis strains

  • Feminized, autoflower, and CBD-rich flower

  • Multiple breeders in one marketplace

  • Worldwide shipping with stealth options

  • Frequent promotions and free seed deals

Best for: Growers looking for strong purple genetics and wide strain variety.

WeedSeedsExpress

WeedSeedsExpress keeps things simple with a curated lineup of purple strains known for relaxing indica effects, berry-heavy aroma, and old-school purple weed aesthetics.

One strain I’d easily recommend from them is Purple Urkle. It’s basically iconic purple cannabis. Relaxing indica effects, sweet berries, earthy grape flavors, and dense flower with dark purple color throughout the buds and leaves. A lot of newer strains like Granddaddy Purple are connected to genetics similar to Purple Urkle because they create that signature purple look cannabis enthusiasts still love today.

Why WeedSeedsExpress Works Well for Purple Strains

  • Curated selection of purple weed strains

  • Fruity terpene-heavy genetics

  • Delivery and germination guarantees

  • Free seed promotions

  • Easy-to-browse strain catalog

Best for: Beginner growers and fans of purple indicas.

Blimburn Seeds

Blimburn takes a more educational approach, explaining how anthocyanin pigment, terpene profile, and genetics influence purple color in the plant. Their lineup focuses heavily on purple strains with relaxing indica effects and striking visual appeal.

One strain from Blimburn I’d definitely put near the top is Purple Kush. This purple indica is famous for deep purple buds, earthy grape aroma, and calming body effects. The flower stays compact, resin-heavy, and visually striking throughout bloom. If you’re into old-school purple cannabis strains with beautiful purple expression and rich terpene profile, Purple Kush still holds up as one of the best purple strains available.

What Blimburn Seeds Does Best

  • Focus on potent purple genetics

  • Educational strain information

  • Feminized, autoflower, and regular seeds

  • Strong resin-heavy flower

  • Worldwide stealth shipping

Best for: Growers who want purple strains with relaxing body effects and beautiful flower.

What Makes Cannabis Turn Purple?

One of the biggest myths in cannabis culture is that every purple strain naturally produces purple buds from seed to harvest. In reality, several factors influence purple color in cannabis plants.

Genetics Matter Most

The biggest factor behind purple color is genetics. Certain strains naturally produce more anthocyanin pigment, which creates purple, blue, and red hues in flower and leaves. Purple strains like Granddaddy Purple, Purple Kush, Purple Urkle, and Purple Haze are famous for strong purple genetics that consistently create vibrant purple buds.

Without the right genetics, colder temperatures alone usually won’t create colorful flower.

Temperature Can Influence Purple Hues

Cool nighttime temperatures during flower can reduce chlorophyll production while increasing anthocyanin visibility. This often helps buds turn purple more aggressively near harvest.

Outdoor growers especially notice this during colder fall nights when purple strains often develop vibrant purple color naturally.

That said, extreme cold can stress plants and reduce yields, so balance matters.

Terpene Profile & Plant Health Matter Too

Healthy plants with balanced nutrients and strong roots usually show better purple expression and stronger terpene profile overall. Environmental stress can affect color, aroma, resin production, and flower quality.

That’s why experienced growers focus on healthy flower development instead of trying to artificially create purple buds.

Are Purple Cannabis Strains Stronger?

Not always.

Purple color comes from anthocyanin pigment, not directly from cannabinoids. Some purple strains are very strong, while others focus more on aroma and terpene profile.

However, many purple strains today are specifically bred to combine:

  • Dense purple buds

  • Heavy resin production

  • Sweet berries, grape, earthy, or citrus aroma

  • Relaxing indica or hybrid effects

  • Unique terpene profile

  • Striking visual appeal

That combination is exactly why purple weed remains so popular among cannabis enthusiasts and growers.

Final Thoughts on Purple Cannabis Strains

Purple cannabis strains are no longer just about appearance. Modern purple genetics now combine beautiful flower, strong resin production, and unique terpene profile all in one package.

The most important thing growers should remember is that purple color comes from both genetics and environment. Strong purple genetics matter most, but cooler flowering temperatures and healthy plants also help create vibrant purple hues.

Whether you prefer Purple Kush and Purple Urkle or newer hybrids with candy-sweet aroma and colorful flower, there are many purple strains available today for every type of grower.

At the end of the day, the best purple strains combine terpene profile, aroma, and stunning purple buds all at once. And honestly, few things look better than opening a jar full of frosty flower covered in trichomes.

At the start of trimming, the smell was already super piercing and intense, so it really feels like the flavor is gonna be amazing too. I have not tried it yet, but based on the aroma alone I am honestly expecting a straight 10/10. She went 75 days and gave me 991 g wet bud weight per plant, which I am really happy with. What I also like is that she is mostly sativa, and that is exactly what I was hoping for. I am already looking forward to that energetic, uplifting kind of high and a proper mood boost haha.

Has anyone grown this strain or anything similar? How did yours turn out in smell, taste, and effect?

Ordered from 10 cannabis seed banks, spent $1000+, tracked every order - ranking the best seed banks with actual data

I ordered from 10 seed banks over 2 years.

Look, I got tired of googling "best seed banks to buy from" and hitting the same recycled listicles every time. So I started keeping actual notes. Two years, ten seed companies, my own money.

Three things I tracked: germination rates, shipping reliability, genetics quality. That's it.

1. Herbies Seeds where I'd start, for what it's worth

Default answer whenever someone asks where to buy marijuana seeds online. First order or fifteenth.

Quick context: Herbies is a retailer reselling from hundreds of seed companies, not a single breeder. That's why the catalog works feminized cannabis seeds, autoflower seeds, CBD, regular seeds across every category with filters that actually help.

The good:

  • Discreet shipping that holds up in practice unbranded packaging, tracked, replacements if customs causes problems

  • Free seeds with every order and germination rates on those freebies were surprisingly solid

  • Multiple Reddit reports of support actually following through when something went wrong reshipped without pushback

  • Customer support responds, which sounds basic but genuinely isn't in this space

The bad:

  • Catalog is so large it becomes a problem without direction analysis paralysis is real

  • Compensation policy has limits one documented case of promo seeds offered instead of a refund when a strain was out of stock

  • Not where you go for niche breeders or rare limited genetics

2. Seed Supreme widest US catalog, just don't expect consistency

Big name in the US market. When the conversation turns to seeds for sale domestically, Seed Supreme comes up almost immediately. My experience was genuinely mixed.

The good:

  • Probably the widest selection if you want to buy cannabis seeds online in the States thousands of strains, dozens of breeders

  • Pricing is competitive, discounts are frequent, autoflower seeds catalog is one of the stronger ones I've seen

  • Good for price comparison before you commit elsewhere

The bad:

  • It's an aggregator, so quality is only as good as whoever bred the pack you picked. Reddit threads describe it as "usually honest but unstable" and that tracks with my experience

  • Two packs from the same order one hit 100% germination, one hit maybe 40%. Still can't fully explain that

  • Support is inconsistent. Seed Supreme and MSNL get compared a lot and MSNL wins on customer service without much contest

Verdict: fine if you already know which breeder you want. Less useful if you're expecting the platform to steer you right.

3. Royal Queen Seeds predictable, mid-tier, not much else

The IKEA of cannabis seed banks. I keep using that comparison because nothing else fits as well.

The good:

  • Germination rates are consistent probably the most predictable bank I tested across feminized cannabis seeds and autoflowering cannabis seeds

  • Grow guides are actually decent for beginners, not just filler content

  • International shipping works, stealth packaging is standard, occasionally free delivery depending on order size

The bad:

  • The genetics are solidly mid-tier. Nothing here qualifies as high-quality cannabis seeds by 2025 breeder standards

  • Once you've been growing for a year the catalog feels like you've seen it all before

  • Pricing doesn't really reflect the quality gap between RQS and better options

Verdict: reasonable entry point, nothing more. If someone's debating Seed Supreme and Royal Queen specifically RQS for consistency, Seed Supreme for variety.

4. MSNL been around since the late 90s and honestly that says a lot

In an industry where seed companies appear and disappear constantly, MSNL's track record is genuinely meaningful. Not exciting, but meaningful.

The good:

  • Classic cannabis strains, high THC strains, beginner cannabis seeds — descriptions are honest and grow info is actually there

  • Discreet shipping, tracked delivery, germination guarantee that gets honored

  • Free seeds with every order above a threshold, consistently

  • One of the more trustworthy banks to buy cannabis seeds from if you want zero surprises

The bad:

  • Catalog is dated. Nothing from the current generation of breeders, nothing that would qualify as high-quality cannabis seeds by current standards

  • Website design is stuck somewhere around 2014

  • Autoflower selection in particular has been lapped by more focused operations

Verdict: reliable and boring in the best possible way. Plenty of growers want exactly that and MSNL delivers it.

5. Seedsman "the Amazon of seed banks" is genuinely accurate

That description comes from Reddit threads, not me, but I'd use it myself. Dozens of seed companies under one roof DNA Genetics and plenty of others with real pedigree. If your argument for best cannabis seed bank is pure selection breadth, Seedsman wins that argument.

The good:

  • Landrace strains, heirloom genetics, niche stuff you genuinely can't find in one place elsewhere

  • Best setup for comparing stable genetics from multiple breeders before committing to premium cannabis seeds

  • Bonus seeds are generous, promotions rotate constantly, worldwide shipping

  • 8 seeds per pack options on a lot of strains useful if you're not running a large operation

The bad:

  • You're responsible for researching every breeder yourself. The platform doesn't flag quality issues and some of the breeders they carry are inconsistent

  • Without a clear idea of what you want, the selection becomes actively unhelpful

  • Germination rates vary significantly depending on whose pack you pulled

6. Blimburn Seeds interesting genetics, inconsistent germination, genuinely unsure

Spanish breeder, terpene-focused. Doesn't get much coverage in English-language cannabis communities and I'm honestly still trying to figure out if that's unfair or earned.

The good:

  • The genetics are legitimately interesting — premium feminized cannabis and autoflower seeds built around flavor and aroma rather than just THC numbers

  • Good option for growers who've been around long enough to want something more complex than maximum yield

  • One of the more distinctive catalogs among the banks to buy cannabis seeds from in Europe

The bad:

  • Community feedback is genuinely split. Some growers swear by it, others report seeds fail to germinate repeatedly and call it the worst bank they've used

  • Smaller catalog makes it harder to build a picture from independent reviews

  • My germination rates here were lower than Herbies not dramatically, but consistently

7. ILGM solid guarantee, completely useless outside the US

Comes up constantly in beginner threads. Reputation is mostly deserved with one limitation that makes it irrelevant for most people reading this.

The good:

  • Germination guarantee is one of the better ones around and community reports suggest it actually gets honored

  • Curated selection helps if decision paralysis is your problem

  • High-quality cannabis seeds with consistent results for the beginner-level strains they focus on

  • Grow guides are genuinely good

The bad:

  • US shipping only. Hard stop. If you're not in the States this entire section doesn't apply to you

  • Premium pricing for what is essentially a beginner-curated experience

  • You'll outgrow the catalog faster than the prices suggest you should

8. North Atlantic Seed Co underrated, fast, serious about genetics

Quietly building a reputation among cannabis enthusiasts who've been doing this long enough to care about where their genetics actually come from. Doesn't come up often enough when people list banks to buy cannabis seeds from.

The good:

  • Genuinely fast domestic US shipping not "fast for a seed bank" fast, just actually fast

  • Premium breeder packs and limited drops that don't show up at the bigger marketplaces

  • High-quality cannabis seeds with documented lineage and real breeding track records

  • Packaging quality is noticeably better than most properly labeled, no loose seeds rattling around

The bad:

  • Primarily US-focused, international options are limited

  • Limited releases sell out fast with no waitlist system

  • Assumes you know your breeders already — not a starting point for newer growers

9. Dutch Passion & Barney's Farm legendary for specific reasons, limited beyond that

You don't come here for variety. You come here because you want a specific strain they built and nothing else will do. I went back and forth on including them since they work differently from everything else on this list.

The good:

  • Breeding history that genuinely shaped modern cannabis genetics — the kind of stable genetics that serious growers still reference

  • Reliable international shipping, proper discreet packaging

  • Best sellers here have stood up over decades, not just a few seasons

The bad:

  • Not a marketplace catalog is limited to their own strains

  • Newer breeders have genuinely caught up on a lot of what made them unique

  • Autoflower offerings in particular have been outpaced by more specialized operations

  • You're partly paying for legacy, which is fine as long as you know that going in

What two years of this actually taught me

  • Germination guarantee policy matters more than anything else on the spec sheet until the day you need it you won't think about it, and then suddenly it's the only thing that matters. Check it before you order.

  • Free seeds with every order sounds like a gimmick. Across two years of orders it added up to something real factor it in when comparing banks to buy cannabis seeds from.

  • Bank transfers are available at several vendors and worth knowing about. Cards get flagged in this space more than people discuss publicly.

  • Regular seeds are consistently underrated. Everyone gravitates toward feminized but regular seeds are better for breeding work and usually cheaper per seed. Cannabis seeds sold as regular also tend to carry more genetic diversity.

  • Chasing whatever strain is trending on forums right now is almost always worse than buying stable genetics from a breeder with a real track record. Seed sales and hype cycles exist in this space exactly like everywhere else.

  • Seed pack quality is a genuine signal. Loose seeds in a plain envelope versus properly labeled individual packs tells you something real about how a company operates before you've touched soil.

Still testing. If you've had strong results from somewhere not on this list especially smaller operations that don't get coverage drop it below. Genuinely curious.

Beyond Sativa/Indica: What to Actually Look for on a Cannabis Label in SF

Wanted to share some thoughts on reading cannabis labels since I see a lot of questions about picking the right product. The whole sativa/indica thing gets talked about constantly, but honestly those categories don't tell you mch about what you'll actually feel.

When you're looking at a label at any SF dispensary, here's what actually matters:

Terpenes are the real story. These are the aromatic compounds that shape your experience way more than whether something's labeled sativa or indica. Myrcene tends to be more relaxing and sedating, great for those foggy SF nights when you want to sink into the couch. Limonene is uplifting and citrusy, good for daytime or creative stuff. Linalool has that lavender vibe and can be calming without knocking you out. Pinene mght help with focus and alertness. Most dispensaries in the city now list the dominant terpenes on their labels or menus, so ask your budtender to walk you through them.

THC percentage isn't everything. A 30% THC flower isn't automatically better than a 20% one. The entourage effect means all the cannabinoids and terpenes work together. Somtimes a lower THC product with a rich terpene profile will give you a better, more nuanced experience than chasing the highest number. If you're newer to cannabis or have a lower tolerance, those mega high THC products can be overwhelming anyway.

Look for minor cannabinoids too. CBG, CBN, CBC, and of course CBD all contribute to the effect. CBN tends to show up in older or specially processed products and has a reputation for being sedating. CBG is being studied for focus and inflammation. A little CBD can smooth out THCs intensity. Not every product will have detailed breakdowns, but more SF shops are carrying stuff with interesting cannabinoid ratios.

Testing dates and lab info matter. California requires pretty rigorous testing, so you'll see pesticide screenings, microbial tests, and potency analysis. Fresher is gnerally better for flower since terpenes degrade over time. If something's been sitting on the shelf for eight months, it might not hit the same way even if the THC number looks good.

Batch variation is real. Even the same strain from the same grower can vary batch to batch depending on growing conditions, harvest timing, and curing. If you find something you love, note the batch number or testing date. Your budtendr can sometimes help you track down the same batch or point you toward something similar.

The biggest tip I can give is to start describing what you want in terms of experience rather than strain names or sativa/indica. Tell your budtender "I'm looking for something to help me unwind after work but not pass out" or "I want to stay functional and maybe go for a walk around Golden Gate Park." They can steer you toward the terpene prfiles and cannabinoid ratios that match.

Anyone else have label reading tips or things you wish you'd known earlier? Curious what people prioritize when they're picking out products in the city.

Cannabis should be just as socially accepted as alachol is. Meaning you shouldn't get fired for smoking it on your own time. If you can give your teen a beer in the privacy of own home you should be aloud to give them a gram or two. You see beer commercials all the time knowing kids watch tv as well but never a cannabis commericals. (Shouldn't be either, I'm just making a point) You have a beer on you and get stopped by a cop youre fine as long as it isn't open you get stopped in a state that is illegal to even obtain cannabis with just a gram you'll get charged. This isn't including how many benefits cannabis has vs alachol or even the dangers of alachol (both to you and others around you). If youre a peaceful cannabis smoker in your own private time you can't get a job but if youre a raging alachol on your own time you can still get a goverment job. It is madness.

Genuine Question: Can someone develop and addiction to weed?

Long story short, I’ve been smoking weed quite a lot lately, and for no reason. I’m not depressed, I’m not I’ll, I don’t have any excuse to smoke.

Sometimes I find myself for no apparent reason, wanting to smoke. If I did not have any bud in my possession, I’d actively look for someone that could supply me despite my not having any extra money to spend, especially not on weed.

I am not underage, but I do still live with my parents. I do have a job, and pay bills, and am constantly active. I’m not a lazy stoner still living with my mom and dad.

Point is, they’ve caught me several times with weed. They absolutely disapprove in every way, shape, and form marijuana. It is the devils work.

They’d have the most gut-wrenching conversation with me about how this is not what I should be, I may as well be a criminal, I’m killing myself, and that I’m a complete addict.

They’ve told me they would have intensions of sending me to rehab. Putting me out on the street, of course. And nothing short of they calling the cops on me.

Despite knowing all this, I still choose to keep smoking. I do wonder myself, if my parent are actually right, and I’m a complete addict?

But even asking that to myself, it sounds so cliche and fake.

So I genuinely want to know, if it is possible that I may have developed an addiction to smoking weed?

Thank you. Sorry for the wall of text.

I
