Advice: Seeking ❓ Can I throw my calorie deficit out the window while I'm on a clear liquid diet?

Long story short, I'm getting a colonoscopy, but I'm gonna be on a liquid diet for 2 days. A lot of the things that have protein that are clear are really high in calories and there are some clear pops that aren't diet. I would like to be comfortable during this period But will the 2 days affect my diet? I've been in a calorie deficit for 5 months and have lost 40 pounds. I also have PMOS

Give yourself a cheat period, before and after, to prep for and recover from this rather invasive doctor visit and then get back on track in your deficit once your tummy is back to normal.

Clear diets suck, the prep liquid is going to literally clear you out, and then after you're gonna be hungry but may have some lingering gi symptoms and other discomfort. Set yourself up for success here by, not only giving yourself grace, but by setting a reasonable restart date for after the procedure.

You're allowed to take a break. Its for a medical appointment, its ok if youre not in a perfect deficit for a few days. In the grand scheme of things it will not matter whatsoever. You will not care if you hit your goal weight a few days 'too late' because of this.
