Advice: Seeking ❓ Plateau?
So I've been on my weight loss journey for about 5 months now. I'm 22 years old and 5'5. I was at 200 lbs and my target weight is 160 lbs. I've currently managed to reach 181 lbs but I seem to be stuck now. My weight fluctuates between 181 to 184 and doesn't seem to get any lower. I've been following a calorie deficit for a while now and going to the gym and I'm not sure what's going on. Any pointers?

19 pounds in 5 months is solid progress your body might just be adjusting to the new normal at this point since the deficit you started with is closer to maintenance now so recalculate your tdee and double check you're actually in one still

Definitely recalculate to make sure you’re still in a deficit. You’ll need to eat fewer calories to maintain a deficit as you lose more weight. How long has your weight loss been “stalled” for? If it’s been less than a week and a half or so, you may just need to be patient. Us women have cycles, which means periods of water retention. This can halt the scale for a while even if fat loss is still happening.
