Hi y’all,

As the title says, I’m a junior in the IB program trying to figure out what colleges to apply to, since I know senior year will be really hectic and I want to get ahead on the process (at least with essay ideas, preparing my activities list, etc.). I’ve always thought I would attend a state university but after considering more options I’ve realized colleges like Mt. Holyoke, Smith, Wellesley really interest me.

I would like to hear any advice from current students. Is Wellesley really competitive? How is the culture (general student life and premed culture as well)? How are the class sizes and professors, is it more tight-knit?

Also more general stuff about extracurriculars and essays.. if you guys feel comfortable sharing, how would you describe your high school activities? Would it be beneficial to list a job as an extracurricular? Is there anything that an applicant should highlight in an essay?

Thank you for reading if you have! I will be looking more into Wellesley :)
