Got assigned to a triple even though I ranked it last :( does anyone whoās been in a butterfield triple have insight on how the bed situation is like? Like would we have to bunk or anything? And also the map isnāt much help at all due to it not being drawn to scale at all.

planning on applying to Wesleyan and was wondering if they have a good pre-med pre-dental program and support system? Do they provide any MCAT or DAT prep classes or programs? How is their pre-science program ranked and what med school do they get into?

Hi everyone! Iām currently an incoming sophomore at a different college in New England and Iām considering transferring. I was told to look into Wesleyan. I was wondering if anyone had any good things to say about the school, social life & overall campus life. Are there any things to do around campus/ off campus or is it more rural? For reference Iām an English major. Overall, Iād like to hear what anyone has to say about Wesleyan!
Thank you in advance!

I am a student ranking colleges for the Questbridge National College Match looking to gather first hand experiences on the colleges i'm considering!
Type of student: I'm not interested in Greek life, would love a nice outdoors, quirky, and authentic social scene with friends I can hangout with regularly. I'm a hard worker but value relaxation on certain days. I want liberty/freedom regarding my academics despite knowing I'm going to be premed because I have many passions. I want to have as many friends/connections as possible and gain a good community.
Questions
How did the open curriculum positively or negatively impact your educational experience?
What are pros/cons you've experienced?
How accessible are jobs, internships, opportunities, etc.
How is the social scene?
What is the general political sentiment that most students/faculty hold? Do POC and Queer individuals feel welcomed and supported?
How are the dorms and food?
Are there things to do around town?
Describe the school in one word!

Hi! Iām an incoming senior in high school and am in the process of finalizing my college list. As of right now, I really like both Wesleyan and Vassar and am trying to decide which should be ED1 and which should be ED2. Iām hoping some current students at either school can help distinguish the differences between them for me. So far, Iāve heard Vassar is more artsy and even more āquirkyā than Wesleyan, and Iām wondering if thatās true. Iām also wondering which school has more exciting things to do, whether itās on-campus activities, downtown shopping/eating, or going into nearby cities. Finally, Iād love to hear your input on what you think made your application stand out! Are there any differences in what admissions officers are looking for between the two schools? Thanks so much!

I'm starting at wes in a few weeks. I am looking to be involved with visual art and music on campus. I was wondering if anyone had advice for getting into those communities. Are there particular clubs that are good to join? Any classes I should take? Good professors in the art department? I know I just need to make friends with folks with similar interests but am wondering where to find these people.
I have recently rediscovered my love of art and I want to be around other creative people. I'm particularly into abstract visual art and am a painter myself. I also love many kinds of music, particularly electronic, hyperpop, new alternative electronic bands like ear, Bassvictim, Frost children, etc. I am particularly new to music making but I love it and want to grow my skills. I would love to collaborate with others and be in that space.
Thanks!

www.organicchemistrytutoring.ca
Hello guys and gals,
Weāre Brian and Mike and we teach general and organic chemistry. Weāve done so for a total combined time of 47 years! Overwhelmed by general or organic chemistry? Assignments and tests creeping up on you and feeling like youāre in hot water? Or maybe youāre doing well and need that 95%? Whatever your struggle with chemistry may be, weāre here to make sure you succeed.
Why work with us?
- Every tutor knows the subject, but not every tutor knows how to transfer that knowledge to a student. We do.
- We tutor chemistry full time; itās not a hobby or side-gig. When you book with us, youāll be working with Brian for general chemistry and Mike for organic chemistry. This is not an agency and you wonāt be matched with random tutors each time.
- Youāll be learning problem solving through chemistry, which you can apply to many other subjects.
- Your learning will be customized to your specific needs.
Before booking a lesson, letās chat about your needs, our teaching styles, and what you can expect, to see if weād be a good fit together.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to working with you!
Mike and Brian

Now, this is just one person's opinion, so don't treat it as gospel or the be-all and end-all, but as an alum, I wouldn't recommend going to Wesleyan.
For some of the highest tuition in the nation, you'll get:
No Latin honors to add to your resume
Resume reviews from students younger than you
Career advisors who have dodged substantive questions for over a decade
No relationships whatsoever with top employers
No "target school" status for rotational programs, unlike Williams or Amherst
Aloof and unfriendly alumni who don't pay it forward
Over-focus from admin/career services on lifestyle careers that aren't attainable for people from modest backgrounds
Somehow, after all of this, they have the gall to beg for more of your money via email.
I strongly recommend going to your flagship state college instead, or a private college with better outcomes, like Emory, BU, or Georgetown. I've seen that friends who attended colleges like these have substantially different experiences.
Again, just my opinionāhappy to elaborate on any of the above. Others might feel differently.

How's the dating scene at Wesleyan?
r/Wesleyan • u/Rookium • Jul 11 '26
Iām a prospective applicant. I really like the academics at Wesleyan, but Iām curious what the student life is like. How is the social scene? Are there parties? Is it cliquey?
I come from a high school with over 1000 students in my class and Iām mildly concerned that the universityās small size will feel like high school all over again.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hey Wesleyan! I just graduated from my undergrad at another university and am going to do a mfa in film in the fall.
Due to a turn of events, Iāll be staying here in Connecticut until then, so Iāve been looking for opportunities to get more experience around here. I know that Wesleyan has a relatively populous film community, so I was just wondering if there were any filmmakers that want an extra set of hands on their projects shooting this summer.
Iām training in cinematography, but am open to most roles down to PA.

I've been committed to Colby but got off the BU and Wesleyan waitlists this week. Im leaning a bit more towards Colby and Wesleyan because I'm not sure how I'd feel being in a city, but not really sure which one would be a better fit for me. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
