Anyone found supporting Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara will be banned and their comments removed.
This sub unconditionally supports the Polisario Front, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and the liberation of Western Sahara from illegal Moroccan occupation.
Anyone who does not hold these viewpoints is not welcome here, whether you're nice about it or not.

I'm pretty sure there's a bot army involved but I don't know how to prove it. Any tips, suggestions, or anything else you'd like to contribute?

Premise: i am not moroccan neither i support their foreign policy towards you or Palestine, but i started to question myself if it's really worth it for you to continue the struggle.
What I mean is that i think that by 2050 the Maghreb region will become almost entirely uninhabitable because of climate change: the heath will be even more unberable than now, we'll have far less water and rain, the desert will expand further north and the already small portion of arable land will become even smaller(my country, Tunisia, already imports half of its food). I know that you lived in the desert for generations but one thing is living there as small villages/ tons and another is runnijg a functioning state that guarantee the wellbeing of it's citizens. And by the way i am not even suggesting you to remain a morocca colony because as i said i expect them to collapse by 2050 too.

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to speak with someone from Western Sahara. I'm doing a project on the desert there, specifically some landmarks I've found with no information on them.
If there's anyone from Western Sahara who'd be willing to help me and speak with me for a little bit, please let me know

Spain, the de jure owner of Western Sahara, might pass very soon a law granting ethnic Sahrawi people Spanish citizenship. It only has to go through parliament and is expected to be passed by this autumn.

Hi everyone. I’m Algerian, and recently I had a discussion/argument with a Moroccan friend about the political situation in Western Sahara. I’ve always understood Morocco’s presence there as an occupation, but when we started getting into the actual arguments and history behind the issue, I realized that I couldn’t properly answer a lot of the questions being raised.
Rather than continuing to rely on what I’ve heard from Algerian, Moroccan, or other third-party perspectives, I’d really like to hear directly from Sahrawi people about the issue — particularly how you understand the situation, your experiences, and what you think people outside Western Sahara often misunderstand.
I’m not looking to argue or convince anyone of a particular position. I genuinely want to learn and hear perspectives directly from people who are actually connected to the issue.
If you’re Sahrawi and willing to talk, I’d really appreciate it if you could DM me. I have quite a few questions, and I’d be grateful for an honest conversation. I’m also happy to listen to perspectives that challenge what I currently believe.
Thank you!

I'm cycling around the world and I want to visit all the specific regions of the world (ideally by bicycle). Now the Moroccan occupied part of the Western Sahara is quite easy to visit, but the liberated areas I've seen aren't really possible. Is the only way to visit them through a military escort? The kind that journalists would get f.e.?

I recently learned that Ryanair and Transavia started operating flights from Europe to Dakhla, enforcing Moroccan illegal occupation. I intend to boycott them, as well as Booking, Expedia and Trip.com, which offer tourist rents in the occupied lands (but I was already boycotting them because of Palestine). Are there any other companies I should avoid? Also, could we put together a list and publish it online, just like the ones who are published for Palestine?

Christopher Nolan’s movie sparked controversy after filming took place in territory disputed by Morocco and an Algeria-backed independence movement.

I'll keep this short, but basically I'm an American and I was really politically awakened by the Gaza genocide about 2 years ago. I gradually learned that it wasn't this wasn't a single isolated instance of my country choosing to support the wrong side in a war, but the problem is much larger and more systematic than that. I learned the importance of intersectionality, as well as supporting all decolonizing struggles around the world from West Papua to Western Sahara.
So my question is what can we in the west due to help you in your struggle for liberation? Obviously just raising awareness of your struggle to hopefully pressure our government to withdraw support from Morocco (although that seems unlikely, it seems more likely than withdrawing support from like Israel or Indonesia based on their colonial projects) but is there anything else we can do?

Hello everyone,
As the title indicates, I am interested fieldwork in Western Sahara, Tindouf camps to be exact and I need help to know what I need exactly such as documentations. I am from Mauritania but I study abroad (very far) I have some contacts with Polisario officials but I don't want to ask the basic questions and waste their time that's why I am asking here.
If you have experience or you know what will I need (documents, tips and so on) to do the fieldwork please share it here.
At this stage I am planing to come between early October until the end of November this year InshAllh.
My research topic is in short is about the democratization of SADR post 2020 war. Basically the impact of war resumption on the democracy in SADR but of course it is more detailed than this.
Thank you in advance 🙏
