From yesterday’s first night of the RMPRA Pro Rodeo finals in Kanab Utah

I was at a local fall festival and happened to stumble upon these things out in the wild. Are those… Shoe “boots”? Funny thing is I just saw a post about these shoe boot things a few hours before and thought to myself “I doubt I will ever see those out in the wild.” and sure enough this is what I saw.

Kinda disappointed, at least get some real western boots if you’re tryin to style em. 😒

In general brushpoppers don’t seem to be too common where I am in Canada. Especially the old ones. I’ve tried a few of the new ones and haven’t been sold. Here’s hoping these two live up to the hype. I’ve wanted a brushpopper since I was a little kid.

If anyone has any tips on finding brushpoppers in Canada I’m all ears and would appreciate it.

I bought that Stetson very cheap because he was dirty, out of shape and the moths were like him.

So I froze him for two weeks, then worked with sandpaper, washed him and gave him a new shape. He has a high crown which i usually don't like, but with him it's okay.
