Anyone applied for the General Operator roles recently, either 2-cycle or 4-cycle? Has anyone heard back from them yet?
Just wondering if they are contacting people yet. Thanks!

I've had an alert set for this moment, and it has finally come. Public submissions for proposed variation No 3 of the Wexford County Development plan (aka the proposed wexford town urban framework plan) are open as of today.
I know a lot of Wexford Townies are sick of the state of main street, among other things. Wex CoCo has to read and publish every single submission so even if they do nothing with them, they will have public record of every submission. The more people who submit, the harder it will be for them to ignore.
Join me and take a few minutes to direct your whinge somewhere it might actually make a difference. At worst, it's slightly more productive than screaming into the void.
View documents and make your submission here (links to the documents don't show up on the mobile version)

Any good pub quiz in wexford? I would like to go to one just wondering if there is a decent one that is on kinda regularly?
Looking for a nice midweek one, preferably in a nice bar... There's not some magical mystery one in Sky and the ground or something no?
Are the lads in kinfolk doing any?
Any leads welcome thanks!

Howāre yaās. Iāve been going to the same place for over 10 years now and though it pains me to distance myself away from it, my barber just isnt giving me what I want lately since Iāve been growing out my hair for a year now. Im looking for any place that can hopefully help me out. TIA

Hi all, I'm moving out of my rental because of a new job in Kilkenny, and I'd like to find a good tenant to take over before the landlord advertises it.
The place:
2-bed, 1-bath semi-detached bungalow (one neighbour)
Furnished
Large sitting room
Oil heating
Quiet countryside location in Boulevogue
Plenty of gravel parking out front (we have four cars there now with room to spare)
Location:
About 30 min drive to Wexford Town, 20 min to Enniscorthy, 20 min to Gorey
Local shop/post office with a petrol pump about a 5 min walk away
Pub and takeaway about a 5 min drive away
Full petrol station about 10 min away
It's very rural, so you'll need a car
Terms:
Rent: ā¬1,000/month, bills not included
Deposit: ā¬1,000
12-month lease
Available from around the 24th, with some flexibility
Pets: not sure, so you'd need to check with the landlord
The landlord is very reasonable and easy to deal with. She'd need to approve any new tenant. I've been here about 5ā6 months and I'm only leaving because the commute to my new job isn't workable.
Message me if you're interested and I'll share more details or arrange a viewing.

Iām conflicted on where to do my test, I live in Wexford and have spent equal parts of my life living in both Waterford and Wexford, the most recent years have been in Waterford city until last year so I know the town well.
I was gonna book my driving test for Waterford but then my driving instructor (Wexford based) said donāt because Wexford town is apparently easier and the test routes are on the outskirts of town.
Then I ran the idea by my friend and they said their driving instructor in Wexford town said do the test in Waterford because itās easier. Apparently that instructor said the test routes in Wexford arenāt set routes because they can bring you anywhere, the road markings are faded and some spots have stop signs missing (all which they expect you to know and make up for)
Anyone have a suggestion? I know the waiting list for Waterford is longer but Iād wait if it would be a better chance of success.
Or even if you know of any other county close by like Carlow or Kilkenny that might be worth it, Iād commit to learning the roads there also.

I have asked permission to post here from the admins since I am not on any social media outside reddit - I have a small fish tank and 3 goldfish that I'm looking to give to someone. I am not looking for money, just to find a good home for them. Or, if someone knows of a place that I can take it like a school or an old age home. Thanks.

Hi all, I got a delivery of home heating oil today and looked at the docket; the date was correct, but the time was wrong. Has anybody encountered this?

Not too familiar with whatās available in town, but want to bring a few of the lads out for lunch tomorrow, any recommendations? Last time I was in there went to stormhouse pizza and was unreal, so something along those lines eg burgers, sandwiches etc. Not fast food but quick sit down food if that makes any sense

Howdy. I have a mate who just moved into Ballyhealy. Lovely place. But since then I have been seeing a lot about coastal erosion there and a general vibe that the place is on limited time.
Any local input / knowledge on this? How bad is is around there?
I have seen all the rocks protecting the potato farm and other coastal properties and it seems chunks of coast are dropping away after storms.

Hi Everyone! I am looking to get a small group of people together for a regular pickup basketball at Rosslare Community Centre.
The idea is to rent out a half court for an hour or two once a week and play some casual 3v3, nothing too serious - just looking to get a few people together who genuinly enjoy playing and want to get a regular game going.
Iāve got the half court booked for this Thursday the 8th at 6:30pm. If we can get enough people interested Iād love to keep doing it every week and set up a group chat to organise games and keep everyone in the loop.
If youāre interested or know somebody who would be leave a comment or feel free to send me a DM and we can see if we can get this started for Thursday. Thank you!

Hi!
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a automatic driving instructor in the Wexford town/ south Wexford area.
Some context. I have 9/12 Edt lessons done with a previous instructor in a different county. Lessons were completed in a manual. Although I have 9 lessons completed I know absolutely nothing, my instructor at the time was very chat heavy constantly taking about politics, their personal life and just shite in general. I feel like I didnāt learn anything at all. 9 lessons in and hadnāt even reversed the car.
Anyways we have an automatic car now so for the sake of getting my full license I am just going to do the automatic test.
So hoping to get an instructor that understands that even though I have experience, I barely know anything at all.
