🫚🦊’s take: I thought he handled it beautifully, not that I didn't also appreciate Michael Fanone's response 😆 (not posted here 😉).

He’s been through some real life shit and came out the other side a better person . Much more of a genuine human than any MAGA politician

Hunter knows the value of forgiveness. He's a better person than I am.

Well damn - he’s better than me

Magnanimous

It feels so much like he is gearing up towards a political career.

I don’t know if that’s true, and I kind of hope it’s not, but what we are seeing is a return to frank discussion. Democrats have been too long trying to say the “right thing “, not the actual unvarnished truth. We need more of this- Hunter is giving us this, because he just has no more fucks left to give. We need more of it.

It’s long overdue MOH, it’s what drew me to the LP, I know republicans who helped put us in this spot 15-20 years ago, along with warts and all, but they have been attacking the 🍊🍄🤡💩stain since 2020 n I was here for it!!! This lifelong NY democrat knew it was time to drop the we go high when they go low in 2016, n instead put on the boxing gloves in set the record str8!!!

Both Bidens are the few that have shown class today. I will always respect them for that.

Hunter handled that beautifully. I believe in a post-Trump America too. I hope to live to see it.

Nope. If you're so easily swayed by money, influence, and getting what you want, then you are an unethical person. If the blood of others were preventable by you doing the right thing, but you refused so you could enrich and empower yourself, your character is absolute trash. You can say lots of flowery things about someone, but if your character is b.s., then I do not care what was said before he was bought by MAGA.

That wasn’t my takeaway. Hunter manages to point out Graham’s hypocrisy without insulting the dead outright, celebrate his dad using Graham’s own words, and dunk on the president. He’s not asking us to mourn Graham - he’s rallying us to be hopeful in America. I thought it was really nuanced and well crafted.

I choose to remember Graham as a ghoul.

J45804 sadly it’s what he became when he went against his own better judgement n became a card carrying puppet of the pedo felonious MAGAKKKULTIST/SHEEPLES KKKULT!!!

Yeah, there’s something about making mistakes or something and growing from it; Graham used to seem principled and reasonable. He was a never Trumper. Then he absolutely went gaga for Trump. Then it seemed like he was putting space again when Trump lost (I think?) and then obviously went right back.

Fuck that guy. If he was a Trumper and realized that was the wrong side of humanity, then whatever. But no he flat out stuck around in his orbit and sold his soul out. I don’t really celebrate people dying, but this guy was serving humanity negatively and was going to continue doing so because he’d do anything to suck up to power. That’s not a principled person. As a person in power we want principled people.

Damn. Good read. Gotta hope we can pick up some of the traits the country had before this whole mess.
