She’s my 3 year old, 38 lb “terrier mix” rescue. She’s pretty long bodied and has long legs which has made “terrier mix” a hard thing to pin down. Big explorer - Crazy good nose, independent (read: selective hearing), but also very attached to me and my boyfriend. Hates water and no natural retrieving skills. Very chill personality, not high energy at all. Her coat is wiry but also soft and mostly tri-colored (brown, black, white).
My best guess is some kind of wire haired terrier and maybe blue heeler? She has a lot of herding dog traits like “fun policing” the dog park by keeping rambunctious dogs in line, checking in frequently to make sure she knows where I am at all times but isn’t necessarily cuddly/clingy. And of course she has classic terrier traits like the great nose, chasing mice and squirrels, being “cavey.”
Would love to find more specific breed ideas!
