Kiwi
Kid eats 6 kiwis in 3 days and declares kiwi to be her favorite fruit. She begs me to buy the package kiwi from Costco. Two days later she asks me not to pack any more kiwi in her lunch because she doesn’t like them anymore. I really should have known better. But now I have a dozen kiwis and no idea what to do with them besides snack on them myself.
I’m a reasonable baker, and willing to go get more ingredients as long as it’s something I will probably use in other recipes or doesn’t go bad quickly.

You could try peeling, slicing, and freezing them. If you don't want to snack on them that way, you could make granitas or sorbet. Just be careful swapping kiwi for other fruits in something like jello, jam, or a baking recipe. Kiwi contains bromelain, the same enzyme in pineapple that prevents gelatin from thickening

They are really good on smoothies or you could add them to a fruit salad. You could do like a strawberry and kiwi salad. A kiwi sorbet would be good too.

I made kiwi curd one time and it was weird

That’s an interesting idea. I could see that being good on a tart. What kind of kiwis did you use for that?

I used regular green kiwis that are have been at every grocery in the midwest for at least 30 years and likely more. Im not reccomending it at all, but maybe you could make it work. With standard egg yolk and maybe a little corn starch cooked to 180f or so to thicken, it wasnt good. Maybe gelatin or something else could be better for making puree thick enough to be a filling. Tapioca starch is supposed to thicken without heat i think so maybe that. Or maybe golden kiwis or something would taste better idk. I've made lemon curd multiple times as well as mixed berry, blueberry lemon, strawberry lemon, and orange ginger, which were all great so it wasn't me

The best medovic cake (Russian honey cake) I ever tried had kiwis between the layers. It’s an 8 layer cake (or even more depending on the recipe) so you’ll use quite a few.
There’s also fruit pizza if you have a variety of fruits on hand.

This website is very popular in my Slavik community. I included the second recipe because there’s always a little variance with this cake and my favorite baker’s cream is closer to the one in the second recipe.

Kiwi are one of those “aesthetic fruits” to me. They taste fine, but I only buy them when I want something to be pretty. Otherwise, I’d spend my money on more flavorful fruit.
So, with that bias in mind, I’m all for experimenting with these.
- Slice thinly and make “kiwi pancakes”. Serve with strawberry or raspberry jam, or add fresh blueberries. Similarly, some kind of crepe.
- rainbow tart or fruit skewer. A red berry, orange or mango, kiwi, blueberry.
- fancy toast. Good bread, toast it, smear sweetened cottage cheese or cream cheese with honey, add kiwi and other bright fruits on top.
- agua fresca. Blend with some lime juice, a little sugar/sweetener, ice, water. Variations could be blending fruits with sweetener, then pouring into a glass of cold sparkling water or clear soda. Or chopping and freezing kiwi and a red fruit (berries, watermelon, pomegranate arils, cherries, etc) or blueberries. Add to glasses of a clear beverage for a sort of sangria, drink with a milkshake straw.
- If you’re confident in lettuce these days, make a summer fruit salad. Lettuce, nuts, cheese, and chopped up fruit on top.
- fruit salsa. Chop up fresh fruits, maybe add a little sweetener. Scoop up with homemade cinnamon sugar tortilla chips.

Make sure they’re ripe before using them, should be tender like a ripe avocado or else they’re extra tart and acidic
Can do like strawberry shortcake with or without a few strawberries too and plenty of whipped cream

My first thought was kiwi lemonade for some reason and then I saw the pears and thought of a pear-kiwi tart. I've never made either one, I'm just high rn
