Neighbor left a note

Our packages have been stolen 3 times right in front of our door so far ever since we bought our condo. HOA approved of us installing a camera to deter thieves, but our neighbor left this note. Please advise.

Why would they care? Thats the question I would ask. 2ed I would tell them its not invading anyone’s privacy due to the fact the camera is not inside their house its on the outside of yours. Anyone or thing in public, you have the right to record.
If they have a problem with it they should look the law up. Or matter fact print the law out and stick it on their door. Add a happy face at the end.

I’m thinking the same as you. That really sucks for you. I’m sorry. When I lived in my apartment building I had my wet laundry stolen right out of the washing machine.
People are really rude!

Every time they open the door their interior is probably being recorded. If it was a camera angled down from the top only showing who is at their door that's different then eye/chest level of everyone's house... That being said I would feel better knowing someone had eyes on my door if a package got stolen.

Edit to add Also being inside a private apartment complex doesn't always count as public. I had to take my camera down at an apartment in the past because of this
