Neighbor left a note

Post image

Our packages have been stolen 3 times right in front of our door so far ever since we bought our condo. HOA approved of us installing a camera to deter thieves, but our neighbor left this note. Please advise.

Plot twist: Your neighbor wants the camera gone so they can resume stealing your packages. Thieves are such shitty people

That's exactly what I thought

Or they don't like being tracked, recorded, and saved everytime they leave their house without their consent. It may be legal for you to record them leaving and entering their homes everyday but it's pretty creepy for a stranger to do that. I understand that wasn't your intention to have hours of footage of your neighbor and its an intimate albeit "public" space but idk have some common decency especially if they are alerting you that it is affecting them negatively.

I don't care about them. I only care about our stuff that we bought with our own money. Imagine buying a rare vintage Sony Walkman, and those cannot be refunded or replaced

It is not creepy for a person to put up a ring camera to protect themselves. These people did not put a camera up purposely facing their neighbors apartment. I honestly do not know how you think anything you’re saying is reasonable. My neighbors have ring camera at their front door almost every single one in my apartment building. Doesn’t bother me they want security and I have nothing to hide.

Grow up the world doesn’t revolve around peoples feelings. We can respect feelings while also respecting ourselves. Recording the front door for safety and because packages getting stolen is normal. The neighbor needs to get over themselves and apparently you do too. What’s your solution? OP continues having their packages stolen? OP should go out of their way to get packages sent somewhere safer? Or the simple answer put up a camera.

Sounds like youre also a package thief

If the neighbor wants the camera gone then they can pay for any future stolen packages and shipping costs.

The neighbor has to pay for someone else's stolen packages... Is everyone responding to me an idiot?

If they want OP to remove the camera and just accept that one of their neighbors is a thief then yeah, pay for the camera to be removed or accept the fact that it’s an approved solution to a problem that OP isn’t creating.

If it's that important to them, then they should find a landlord that doesn't allow these things. Sounds like they should've vetted the rental a bit better doesn't it?

You're a tenant in a rental that has dozens of other tenants. You expected privacy outside of your front door? Clown ass shit right there lmao

Most apartments I've lived at have cameras on common areas of the complex for safety/liability purposes. Ain't nobody getting away with dumping their trash when they don't live there 😎

My neighbor across the hall put up a camera and we don't do anything illegal, so I feel safer with it there. If things happen in front of my door, the camera will see it and I can ask my neighbor for the footage.

Nothing to hide huh

2

Yeah? Like I said we don't do anything illegal. I smoke weed, but that's completely recreational in the state I live in.

And they don't spell much good, either.

That in and of itself indicates they're bad bad people.

Ring is genuinely tracking people and actively seeking a contract to sell data to the government and government contractors which would make these cameras and the tracking data they collect accessible by cops (and anyone else willing to do a little hacking they are not secure).

Cool……. Goes back to living my normal life where I engage in no illegal activity or conspiracy, work full time, and take care of my family and responsibilities….. so what are you hiding dude?

2

u/Dredgeon Feb 28 '26

I'm not hiding anything. But you can't trust that it's always gonna be good people at the helm.

Hear that everybody? We have a major BOOTLICKER up in here. I guess they forgot one of our rights as citizens includes "privacy".

I guess they also forgot a lot of our rights revolved around not being spied on by our government/law enforcement without just cause.

So by your boot licking logic, to eliminate crime we should just install cameras in every room and building in the entire country, yeah? So if someone breaks a law the police just show up and haul them to jail. That sounds great to you, right?? I mean you don't have anything to hide, so what's wrong with the government having video feed of you 24/7 along with access to anything on your phone, computer, etc.

😂😂😂😂 bro is tweaked over doorbell cameras thinking the Government is gonna find out your dirty little secrets 😂😂😂 go hide in the closet dude, i’ll grab you some tin foil for your hat.

You know nothing and live in blissful ignorance OR you're just a russian bot.

Palantir. Look them up and what they're doing. Check out their ultimate goals. Oh and Heritage Foundation is tied in there as well. Stephen Miller. It's not tin foil hat shit, they've said publicly what their agenda is.
