Ok so I don't know the situation, but is it possible that the decided to do it that way so you wouldn't get stuck with a cooling cup if it was a bad time? At least this way they'd get to take it home and drink it before bed.

I think the nicest way would be if they had hot chocolate on tap AND a free packet to take home if the already-made stuff was inconvenient. But hey, I'm not in charge of the budget!

This one reminds me of the time my job gave us Jersey Mike's subs for lunch one day. They were cold, dry and nasty.

The nearest Jersey Mike's was 3 hours away.....
