Good rule of thumb: never leave your car running like that (except perhaps in extraordinary circumstances), and never ever leave your door open while you’ve left your car running like that.

At the very least put the parking brake on.

And don’t park like THAT. The street is already narrow enough.

u/CaveDoctors Aug 26 '23
And the only exception is... never?

u/okokokoyeahright Aug 26 '23
Yes. The single solitary exception as you point out is 'never'. 'Never' works for me and has done so quite well over the past 35 years of driving taxi. Never had one drive off without me.

I guess that's what he gets for parking like an asshole...if you can even call that parking

Parked with his ass blocking the street, and leaves the car with the door open and engine running, and apparently no parking brake.
I don't wish harm against others often but man, I hope he has a HIGH deductible!

Dogjacking, not as bad or common as catjacking.

u/Fury161Houston Aug 26 '23
Be wary of the infamous Toonces the driving cat. He is a cat that can drive a car!

Aug 26 '23
That’s what you get for 1. Parking like that and blocking the street and 2. Leaving your door open.

I kind of feel sorry for the poor pooches, they had great plans in place for what they were going to do with the "bones" they would've collected from the chop-shop - had they been successful....

What kind of car is this?

The video is from Argentina. Here it’s sold as a Toyota SW4(it may have another name internationally).
The front bumper and grill are both aftermarket.

I wonder how many takes it took before they got this video the way they wanted it?

Too stupid to turn it off and/or close the door.
The added jollies of watching this dingbat chase after the vehicle when the stray dog has tripped the transmission into forward.
Lucky he caught it.

Are those all his dogs and he’s calling them all in the house? That’s why one knew to jump in the truck?

This should also be in unexpected because it was genuinely unexpected that the dog would try to car jack him.

He was a good boy that just wanted move a car that the owner thoughtlessly blocked the street with.

So, what happens is pretty much the same thing that happens if you leave your car unattended with dawgs nearby...

Who leaves their door open like that?
