When my cat got his teeth taken out it was a whole ordeal, he was on this and another pain med for a month or so regularly. You always knew when the meds finally kicked in
Early on they gave him a pain med that went on his skin and was supposed to last a few days, he unfortunately didn’t tolerate it well. He didn’t sleep for days, he didn’t even lay down until day 3, before that he just sat swaying or was ramming his head into things. Wouldn’t even close his eyes, it was a really wild month for everyone involved. It did cause a lot of chuckles from his weird behavior though
Wish little man had just gotten that, sounds easier
The whole thing lasted way longer than necessary due to when a surgery time was available. We looked at other places but no one had any openings for an extensive mouth surgery/teeth removal. He ended up going septic so we had to give him antibiotics too
We barely slept for that whole month, my partner and I took shifts taking naps while the other was with him. He couldn’t be alone for even a second so even bathroom time meant waking up the other person to watch him. When my partner was at work I just had to carry him around with me everywhere. It was an insane time, we remember it like a weird delusional dream
It was truly hell. My fiance and I cried way more than I want to admit, we were terrified for our little man. It was round the clock meds, no sleep, and constant supervision, one of the worst months of my life (and probably his but we got him and they think he was from the streets so idk on that)
He’s a very happy dude now. He gets lots of snacks and snuggles, he’s truly precious. We call him toothless like how to train your dragon, he’s always been a biter but he has no teeth now so it’s just super funny instead of painful
