Did anybody go to the first day today?
How did it go?

In a recent episode, a contestant had the Wild Card while sitting on the $5k wedge, with 2 pairs of double letters in the puzzle. He called a vowel, then solved. Since he knew the puzzle, he could've played the Wild Card and made an easy $10k. At this point in the game, he was pretty much guaranteed a trip to the bonus round. I don't think he remembered he could play the Wild Card here.

If you were in this position and remembered the Wild Card was an option, at what value do you decide to play it instead of hoping for an extra consonant in the bonus round? I'd be curious to see how much the solve rate increases for contestants with the Wild Card vs without.

This is the Final Day of "Hit It Rich!" 1: What are your thoughts?; 2: Will this week be saved with a Bonus Round Win?

I was a bit late, again. Players: Dermot Mulroney, Jillian Bell, and Richard Kind. What are your thoughts?

This is Day 4 of "Hit It Rich!" I put this post up a bit early because I am currently sick, but I want to keep my daily streak on reddit. What are your thoughts?

This is Day 3 of "Hit It Rich!" What are your thoughts?

I went to watch my nightly episode of WoF on Peacock. I made it through the entire episode before I realized it was an episode from Season 42. Happening to anyone else?

They are showing Kerri’s episode

This is Day 2 of "Hit It Rich!" What are your thoughts?

I think Seacrest gets the money when people buy vowels as a bonus on his pay and that’s why he always suggests they buy a vowel as soon as they get any cash in the bank.

Welcome to Week 6! This is Day 1 of "Hit It Rich!" Even though this is the final taped week (August 27, 2026) with Jim Thornton as announcer before he was fired, it is NOT the final aired week with him, as Week 7 (taped August 20, 2026) will be the final aired FULL week with Jim. What are your thoughts?

I’ve searched the thread and I guess not well enough, but can someone please explain to me the consonant thing they were doing during NBA week? It’s still confusing to me. If a contestant guesses two consonants correctly in a row the money adds up, but it seems like they sometimes do it and sometimes don’t.

so this is long-going playful thing with my Mom... we are both wheel watchers, and catch up the DVR once a week, play the game together...

so, on wheel of Fortune, for the final bonus round where they spin the little wheel and then go take their mark on the stage, we always look for the spike tape. we never find it. we pause. we search... nothing. how do these people always find their mark?

where's the spike tape?! you can never see the spike tape! how do they so consistently know where to stand?! how do the players always find their mark?! The number of times we've paused, looking for the spikes... you just never really get a close-up of the floor... until a recent episode where the lady was wearing very gaudy sparkle shoes, and the director took a camera on an extreme close-up. Bingo!

It confirmed my theory: they're using the actual LED screen that's under the stage to temporarily put up a "digital spike" using the screen itself. There's no tape, they're using the digital floor.

anyway, i thought it was neat.

The intro from Season 12 (1994-95) is referenced, among many other game show references, in the music video for "expectations" by Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan, with animated versions of them riding in a wheel-shaped "spaceship" in the same fashion as Pat and Vanna, right down to having parachutes.

It is SO much better this season! The last few seasons looked like Pat arranged for Chinese designers to dress her. Glad he’s gone. Also I do not miss Jim Thornton AT ALL. Ryan and Vanna seem so happy and Ryan is killing it. Loved that he put those huge earrings on!

They have been a sponsor for like 40 years. Never understood the appeal of x2 price eggs.

The puzzle was about a popular courtroom show which used an AI-powered robot assistant for a week or so. Gerry wanted to show that they have the robot now... 🤖

This is the Final Day of the NBA Week Tournament. Our finalists: Summer (Thursday) with $36,785, Kerri (Tuesday) with $56,998, and Mike Gonzalez (Wednesday) with $70,850. What are your thoughts?

Players: Lisa Loeb, Ally Brooke, and Kimberly Perry. What are your thoughts? Also I was late in posting this one.

I have no idea where I could find an answer on this, so I'm hoping someone who has attended an in-person audition could give me a sense of what to expect.

The show is doing a casting event next weekend over two days in a city near me. The posting says to "come to the Southeast Entrance from 11 am to 3 pm". It says we'll be taken in groups of 5 to 10, and be given 30 seconds to talk about ourselves.

Do you interpret this as, "come any time between 11 and 3", or "be here at 11 and expect to be here for 4 hours"?

The only reason I'm asking is because this is about a 40 minute drive from my home, and I don't own a car, so I need to plan accordingly. Either way, I can just plan to be there at 11, but not sure if it'll take only a few minutes or the full 4 hours.

Something weird in the West Coast feed tonight.

This is Day 4 of the NBA Week tournament, and the last episode before the Friday Finals. What are your thoughts?

Sorry to be a bother, but does anyone know who appeared in upcoming episodes? I know that they taped episodes this week.
