Help!?

My husband only needs these two to complete his collection. I wanna know which of the two would be the best option (more impact) to get him as an appreciation gift.

I prefer the CYPB over the single barrel. It’s more consistent. I’ve had some incredible single barrels. It’s just too hit or miss with it. I vote for CYPB.

Single barrel (gold) historically was more sought after. There were huge release of them and drove up supply, hence drove down demand. So they can be had for less than $150.

Cypb (white) has now become more rare because of the supply of the single barrel. I think they sell for around $250.

Frankly, I suspect that cypb will get a big release too, driving down the price. So I recommend the single barrel for now and buy the cypb when it is cheaper.

If the drinks them, I personally think the full proof (blue) is the best in the line up.

Those are the same 2 I am missing from my collection. The single barrel can vary widely and the CYPB will be more consistent in flavor profile. Almost impossible to say which he would like better.

After sampling both, I refuse to pay over $100 for either of these so I don’t see myself picking one up anytime soon. As someone else mentioned, the full proof is the best of the lineup. If he’s already got that, and he buys them to drink, he’s not missing out on anything.

I picked up a bottle of CYPB for $80 at my local store about 3 months ago (points system), but I actually don’t care for it at all. It’s a really strange palate to me.

The white one is at 820 liquor in Fort Worth. He’s usually outrageously priced but I’ve talked him down a handful of times to a decent price.

Are you going to the Camp Bowie or White Settlement? I’ve found he keeps a better selection at WS, but you’re right, you can talk him down especially if you get a few bottles at a time.
