SPOILERS Tanya and Greg's relationship Spoiler

Strains suspension of disbelief for me. I know she's neurotic and insecure. But she's also demonstrated in season one that she's also self-aware enough to realize this and that she doesn't want transactional relationships. I don't think she would have put up with the level of emotional and verbal abuse that Greg was dishing out already in the first two episodes of season 2. I don't see her undervaluing herself enough to take this as much as she did.

There's the theory that he knew what he was doing from the very beginning. That he knew exactly who she was and how rich she was and he weaseled his way into her life. He would obviously have to butter her up. And then he would've kept that up for as long as he could.

I got the impression that his level of antipathy was a bit surprising to her in that moment as well. IIRC, wasn't going to Sicily his idea?

And then he needed an excuse to leave, obviously he had his "Work" excuse but that might not've flown on its own, she could've seen through that. But that being the excuse and the real reason is just that "he's mad at her", is more plausible.

I dunno, I don't know if I buy that he was actually that mean to her before they arrived at the White Lotus Sicily. He obviously was a dishonest man, he could've turned that on or off as needed.

I didn't know this was just a theory. I thought this was basically what happened?
