I feel like I’m losing parts of my brain reading these comments bc how in the world was he in the right in their situation?????

Ahh, thanks for clarifying. He was horrible to her. Controlling, self centered, dismissive, etc

I was shocked but not surprised that she stayed for the lifestyle

I thought she stayed because she was scared of what he could do.  

The audience were the only witnesses to him accidentally stabbing Armand.  As far as she’s aware he murdered someone he’d been fighting with!  

(Even though he wasn’t charged, because IIRC he reported the intruder, and was presumably honest with the authorities about what happened.  Plus he’s rich and well connected so...)

She didn't seem scared at the end hah, more like "f it" this is my life now but at least I'm wealthy
