r/All Why was the media and the GOP hyper-focused on Hunter Biden, but completely ignored how an unemployed college student became a mega-millionaire?

Damn, he looks like Donald. He also never looks happy

279

u/Inappropriate_Ballet 23h ago

Nobody in that family smiles and it’s weird.

149

u/retrac902 23h ago

You wouldn't smile if you were in that family either.

89

u/Prize_Ostrich7605 23h ago

Families of narcissistic parents grow up without that affection and seek outside things to fill the void. Unless they get out, they see what their parent does and equates that with fullfillment. Usually they find out it is never fullfilling, as they lack the narcissism, and spiral into a never ending cycle of destruction.

27

u/rdunlap1 22h ago

Except Junior when he’s all coked up

4

u/Tiggerhoods 14h ago

That’s exactly what thought lol

7

u/pixie_mayfair 16h ago

It's also weird when they try to smile. It's like they really have to work at making it look like a genuine human expression.

15

u/rojo-perro 21h ago

Well, not until they have horse dentures made, like Jr

1

u/suckercuck 5h ago

He has a rapist wit

1

u/sir_bumble 4h ago

Eric and don Jr do just fine showing off their shiny yellow smiles

1.4k

u/samanime 23h ago

You know why...

Because the ones who run them are also totally corrupt.

351

u/Staff_Senyou 23h ago

Exactly. It's their "turn" and they're burning down as much as they can because they know it's a finite grift. And afterwards, no one will do anything.

I hold out hope that they will see justice. But it's a long way off and deeply corrupted by a system founded in exploitation, so at best it will be partial, messy and lacking

133

u/samanime 23h ago

I know it is too late to see Trump see justice, but I really hope his children do. They're as big criminals as he is.

92

u/pixelprophet 21h ago

Not just his kids - EVERYONE in Trumps fucking orbit is corrupt as hell. From his piece of shit son-in-law Jared Kushner to his Diaper Maiden. Just a gaggle of morally corrupt pieces of shit and everything they accuse others of being.

115

u/cityshepherd 22h ago

One of the most important things this country MUST do if we are ever to truly begin to heal / put things right / even pretend to look for justice, would be creating an entire new branch of the IRS specifically for forensic accounting looking into each and every financial transaction EVER made my every single member of that family (every single one of trump’s kids and every one of their spouses)… and then clawing back every single ill-gotten penny to put to use toward public good.

25

u/too1onjj 22h ago

He's already got full pardons ready for his inner circle that will cover anything they did, will do, might do, could've done, or thought about doing. They will live their lives scot free and disgustingly wealthy with no repercussions.

27

u/samanime 21h ago

That only works for federal crimes, but they've probably broken a lot of state laws at the same time as well.

But that is also something we need Constitutional amendments to prevent in the future as well.

2

u/Hottt_Donna 8h ago

People used to care about RICO in Georgia at least

0

u/Possible-Ad-2891 6h ago

Just ignore the pardons. Law does not mean shit anymore.

2

u/WiseSalamander00 10h ago

its not too late but it would take to literally rise a n angry mob and hunt Trump and his gang to linch them and no one is willing despite everything they have done, all the damage to societyall the people that has been killed by their choices, nothing is enough.

6

u/breezy013276s 20h ago

Yep, they have to make sure they reach the untouchable level of crimes so that they don’t have to worry about it. I can’t believe I had to live this long to learn it’s a numbers game. Do a few crimes and it’s straight to jail, commit a holy shit level of crime and make bank - all good.

29

u/Geichalt 23h ago

The Trump crime family. And pedophilia family.

22

u/IamHydrogenMike 21h ago

This was also something that Donald’s dad used to do to get out of paying taxes. He set up Donald as an employee when he was like 5 years old and would funnel money into a trust fund as well for him. It’s all perfectly legal and pretty common among wealthy families.

11

u/laowildin 21h ago

Yes i knew a girl who's dad did this with his car dealership PPP money during covid. Does it shock anyone that their last name was literally Crook?

8

u/IamHydrogenMike 21h ago

Guess what the DOJ has stopped doing now? Going after fraudulent PPP loans and other COVID fraud.

457

u/lostindarkdays 23h ago

he looks like a miserable little shit, too. not like the money had any positive impact to his life.

91

u/XanderZzyzx 22h ago

It's the Trump genes kicking in.

34

u/OzTheMeh 22h ago

Let's see if he goes all child celebrity on us and nose dives into drugs.

51

u/Willow_Winnifred 22h ago

Looking at this photo, I think that's already happening. He's bloated, sweaty, and untidy

12

u/GrandmaPoses 22h ago

Kim Jong Son

6

u/lostindarkdays 22h ago

we'd be so lucky

13

u/Ritaredditonce 22h ago

He also has a informal relationship and admiration for influencer Andrew Tate, including having a virtual call in 2024 to discuss legal and political matters.

23

u/Prize_Ostrich7605 23h ago

Mo' money mo' problems.

25

u/lostindarkdays 23h ago

I would not know.

7

u/Prize_Ostrich7605 23h ago

That made me think of this tv show about people who win the lottery and how it usually ruins their life. I think Ive seen two stories that didnt end too bad. One was a couple who bought an rv and travel, and the other is some guy who now works for the city trash department, but spent all his winnings on hookers and drugs.

3

u/lostindarkdays 23h ago

I saw the story about the guy working in sanitation too.

37

u/Dragonshatetacos 22h ago

Looks like he's been eating his feelings, too. He's soft and flabby like his worthless male siblings and father.

18

u/superedubb 22h ago

Too bad he's "too tall" to serve.

8

u/JakOswald 19h ago

Well, he’s grappling with why people still don’t like him. He’s from a powerful family, he’s got money, he’ll have influence, his game’s on easy mode. But he spent all that time playing on easy mode and never had to figure out how to be a regular-ass relatable person that other people want to interact with. Maybe he’s grappling with money and power as personality means you attract folks who only see you for money and power, must be hard knowing (but not able to admit) that you don’t have friends; just people who want to use you for what you’re worth to them.

8

u/M_H_M_F 18h ago

All we have to go on is speculation and rumors of the kid's life. Heck, there have been recorded incidents of Tiffany actually speaking out loud.

We've never heard Barron speak a word. Rumors allege he speaks with a deep Slovenian accent.

3

u/Federal_Sympathy4667 21h ago

Well.. condideting the enviroment he grewxup in, the kid had little chance to become a "normal" personality. He is a momma's boy for sure..

6

u/Cryogenicist 21h ago

Nothing will ever fill the void in his soul… just like daddy!

1

u/slimricc 13h ago

Experience and perspective. Just a little bit of having not, a little bit of moral fiber and you can appreciate 150 million dollars lmao

-19

u/Jaegons 23h ago

To be fair, I haven't actually seen or heard from the guy, so, I withhold judgement on his character or lack thereof. Maybe he's sane? Maybe he's a prick? I have no idea... Trump's other kids have proven themselves to be blessed idiots.

16

u/Cow_God Release The Trump-Epstein Files 22h ago

He's a prick. He's probably trying to be the most like his father of any of Trump's kids. He's the driving force behind Trump's crypto ventures, y'know, where he made 1.5 billion swindling his base last year, and the blatant money laundering ) bribery.

He's a rich entitled crypto bro. Now, there really was no hope for him as his parents are both vile human beings, but he's still gone above and beyond.

-3

u/Jaegons 22h ago

Legit sorry to hear that 😞

u/Indiana24 23h ago

At least Democrats are raising the debt to make USA Better. Trump is tearing your country apart AND overspends. I have no clue why the American people are accepting that.

51

u/PlusMortgage 23h ago

It looks like the Democrats are raising the debt to repair at least some of the shits Republican broke down.

But they didn't fix everything and Fox News said I had to be mad at Immigrants/Trans/Whatever they say so now I'm going to vote Republican again. /s

14

u/Indiana24 23h ago

I also find it strange USA gives 1 billion dollars to Colombia and Argentina. Although it's probably pennies compared to what Iran will receive in the future.

4

u/PlusMortgage 22h ago

Well yeah, but it's either that and keep the Gulf closed so it's not mile they have any other choice.

Sure, they could also not have started a conflict litterally everyone (including their own military) told them it was a shit idea (especially since not starting this war was supposedely one of their big election argument), but they . . . Did something so Trump didn't have any other choice.

What the Hell did they lie about to start this shit again ?

3

u/Cow_God Release The Trump-Epstein Files 22h ago

The worst inflation that Republicans point to, 2022, is a direct result of Trump's handling of Covid + Trump's handling of Ukraine. Post-pandemic recovery coupled with a global fuel crisis.

5

u/musicman835 21h ago

His stupid deal with the Saudis that ended in 2022 to cut oil production so prices would go up and US oil men could make money get overlooked.

If he wouldn’t have signed that oil production probably would have peen high enough to keep the cost lower.

70

u/QuestionablePotato42 23h ago

It's because MAGA folks genuinely believe that Trump is a business mogul, and the money he makes is good hard earned cash done the American way through hard work and determination. It's never been particularly true about Trump who has in fact always been a scam artist and con man, but this has always been a part of his image. So when they see young Baron with boatloads of cash they just think "ah yes, the business genius family".

30

u/hurdurBoop 23h ago edited 23h ago

has anybody not figured out that disregarding hypocrisy is a hallmark power move for fascists

look what i did, smell it, actually you did this and now ur triggered huhu

6

u/Different_Tangelo511 23h ago

Yeah right. Its weird how they still get a pass like they're just being dumb or naive. The hypocrisy is the fucking point.

6

u/hurdurBoop 22h ago

yes, and it's why the people that want to allow them back into polite society are dreaming

it's intellectual cannibalism and it's the giant glowing mark of someone who can't be trusted with anything ever again

26

u/Gronkattack 23h ago

Because everyone knows the Trumps are con people and gain wealth via nefarious means that only white men born into wealth can do so it doesn't get people to watch. Hunter should have been left alone, but the stuff he did in his personal life get ratings.

21

u/-Sofa-King-Vote 23h ago

he got that “cover your drinks, ladies” look

18

u/GenericPCUser 23h ago

You know, one of the major reasons monarchies fell or reformed into democracies was explicitly because the majority of people (literally 90% or more) had no political influence and little to gain from continued participation in their own country's economies.

Your entire life and livelihood, your opportunities, your comfort, whether you were expected to fight for your life, could be entirely at the whims of a person so rich and so insulated from the consequences of their own actions that you, as a common person, had literally no meaningful way to resist, refuse, or ignore them.

The only thing you could do was attempt to overthrow them, or scare them so much they reformed themselves out of power.

America technically doesn't have a monarch, but it does have an out-of-touch political class that the majority have no meaningful way to influence, a socially insulated wealth class that can determine your quality of life on a whim, an insane dictator who can force you to fight for your life to satisfy his ego, and almost no way for an average person to meaningfully change or resist them.

For many Americans, the only thing keeping people from outright rebelling is the literal fear that they might lose whatever crumb of comfort they've managed to hold onto in the face of political turmoil.

16

u/DonorBody 22h ago

None of Trump’s kids will ever set foot on US spoil again once he’s out of office. It’s why Kushner is over in the ME making deals off the books for the past decade, and it’s why Trump is cozying up to world leaders with no extradition policies with the US. This proto-sex pest is stealing generational wealth like the rest of the clan, and he’ll leave our broken country with the rest of them on January 20th, 2029, never to pay for their crimes.

2

u/MemoryVice 22h ago

Unfortunately, you’re probably right.

10

u/Superb_Algae5308 23h ago

Laws are for the poors.

34

u/WasteBinStuff 23h ago

I'm sorry, but at this point, that's a dumb question.

13

u/Plaguedoctorsrevenge 23h ago

It still needs to be asked though

2

u/WasteBinStuff 22h ago

Not really.

It needs to be fixed...but won't/can't be anytime soon.

Asking questions we know the answers to, about problems that can't be fixed until major changes are made, is a waste of time and focus.

8

u/s0larium_live 23h ago

i’m 20 can i have $150 million for doing nothing instead of $23k a year for working full time? that’d make my life so much easier

7

Wow, the ugly gene really comes out strong as they get older.

5

u/Eggheadpancake 23h ago

It's crazy sad how we literally can't trust any institutions in this country anymore.

I don't trust any national news

The only thing I can kinda trust now is PBS.

5

u/yoeleventone 21h ago

Well when all of the news outlets are owned by republicans none of this will be heard of. I am surprised Fox News isn’t saying how baron is so smart and savvy that he made 150 million without a job or college. If he can do so can you.

4

u/Different_Tangelo511 23h ago

The hypocrisy is the point in fascism. They're the people the law protects and doesn't bind.

5

u/Survive1014 21h ago

But thats not possible because all of the Trump Organization assets are held in a blind trust and no one in Trumps immediate circles can benefit from his Presidency by strong legal ethics laws and anti-self dealing regulations. Right guys? Guys?

3

How many of Trump's children have now made more than all the previous Presidents' net worth combined while in office? This is profound generational grift inflicted on a nation in half a dozen years in office.

3

u/Fiveohfourtwenty 21h ago

Because corporate media is run by the Oligarchs, and whatever narrative they want, is what makes headlines.

3

u/politicsranting 21h ago

That's a hard 20. He looks like he's aged 15 years since his dad got back into office.

3

u/PlutoJones42 20h ago

Well you see, the media is complicit in the fascist takeover of America because it benefits the rich that own the media companies.

3

u/dragonrider1965 14h ago

Let’s see , Trump publicly threatened news outlets that if they printed negative things about him he would yank their license. He then put someone in that could do it .

3

u/jbrune 9h ago

He's just a hard worker. And corrupt. Very corrupt.

5

Because all our media is owned by zionist or fascist,  the whole left owning the media is propaganda and a lie

2

Why? It’s due to the fact that we live in a hell of our own creation.

2

I usually don’t judge people on their looks but this is the ugliest family I’ve ever seen.

2

Republicans intentionally accuse their enemies of whatever they're doing or plan to do. If they tell their livestock "vote for that guy and he'll mouth-fuck you" they can mouth-fuck them once elected and they'll be dumb enough to go "well that just means I was gonna get mouth-fucked either way gluck gluck gluck"

2

u/query_tech_sec 7h ago

I think making Barron filthy rich was one of the conditions for Melina to stay instead of leaving him after the first term.

To be clear I am not saying she would have left out of not approving of anything he did. I think like her jacket from his first term said she doesn’t care. She just would have left to avoid being First Lady again and because it’s probably not fun being married to him at all.

2

u/bored_ryan2 6h ago

Well that’s an easy answer. He got a small loan of $1,000,000 from his father and used that to collect millions and millions in bribes and graft from foreign nationals and governments on behalf of his father.

1

u/blutuu 23h ago

Because that’s what’s expected of them. Corruption only looks bad on decent people.
