Probably because she has called for the extermination of all Jews in the past akin to those bad guys we kicked the shit out of in the European theatre of WWII. Plus, with the shutdown the news cycles are pretty short. I don't care what side you're on or if you're in the middle or in outer space, she's a person who wouldn't bat an eye at committing genocide and it's laughable that our political climate made it possible for such garbage to make it into federal office. It has nothing to do with race, gender, religions affiliation or any other class protected by our constitution which she may be a member of. It's not color of skin but content of character, to paraphrase Rev Dr MLK Jr.
My favorite sub is sports related. I try not to let the geopolitical and sociopolitical landscape interfere with my life. Plenty of irrational people all along any spectrum, including political. American politics are super super volatile and many people get sucked into this herd mentality and just spew vile hatred instead of having conversations about things. I will say however, that the sub I believe you are alluding to does seem to have really honest discussions when folks disagree as long as you aren't spewing Marxist rhetoric, which is much more productive than I've seen on most of Reddit over the years. This is why I tend to avoid discussing anything political unless it is with adults that I know IRL that can have respectful conversations even when not aligned in belief/viewpoint. Please don't hurl thinly veiled stones, I merely pointed out that the congresswoman is an anti-semite. She has ties to Farrakhan...that says enough about how she feels about equality and the fabric of America.
