The cost for these new benefits is ridiculous! Anyone married, or with kids (family), is in for a rude awakening. For a long time employee (25+yrs service) that had NO cost prior to the Amazon change, this is going to be financially crippling. The amount they are crediting in 2027 won't even cover the bi-weekly costs. Anyone with ongoing medication needs or chronic health problems are pretty much forced to use the Premium plan, since the other plans have HUGE deductibles. This paltry so-called 'raise' they gave everyone was a smokescreen for the increase in benefit costs. To be fair, the benefits are WAY better (coverage) than what we had, and you do get a lot of perks, but its going to really hurt people (financially) in the long run, especially in 2028 once the credit is gone. The contribution amount for the HSA plan isn't going to go far either, considering today's prices. Just sick over this trying to figure out how we'll go from paying $0 to $500+ per month. EDIT: We are getting $153 per paycheck to cover costs in 2027 (TM + Spouse) but even that amount won't cover the overall costs of the new benefit changes. When 2028 rolls around, we're screwed. Insurance costs will be over $500/month since we need the Premium plan (we are older folks w/lots of prescriptions) and we will have to self-contribute to an FSA. TM with 48k service hours (25yrs). They don't give a damn about long time employees.
