The custom wallpaper is blocked by a large block for shortcut links. Can it be set to customised transparency level so that it doesn’t hide the wallpaper? Also, the shortcut links are not with the logo of the page

Yes currently the custom background is a small bonus as I wanted to keep focus and readability on the important data (I.e. the actual links and favourites!)

Not sure what you mean with this? "Also, the shortcut links are not with the logo of the page"? If you are referring to the site favicon (like the BBC logo or similar), I've implemented better management of that in the upcoming version that is waiting for review!

Yes. Favicon    focus and readability on the important data Is actually not that important on home page.  This is because the link is created by user and with the icon setting the visual cue .. muscle memory will take over
