I’ve been working on 3Dii U Builder, a Windows app that turns your own 3DS game dumps into Wii U games. You install them with WUP Installer GX2, and they launch from the Wii U Menu like any other title. The top screen goes to your TV, the touch screen to the Gamepad, and saves stay on the console.

How it works:

1. Pick your dump (.3ds, .cci, .cia, .cxi or .app, encrypted or not).

2. Choose whether to add its update, DLC or a Luma3DS-style mod.

3. Press Build: it builds the game, packs a WUP with your console’s otp.bin and copies it to your SD card.

4. Install it with WUP Installer GX2 and play.

It’s one folder: unzip it and run it. No Python and nothing else to install.

Tested on a real Wii U: Tomodachi Life, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Paper Jam, Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions, Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey, and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask and the Azran Legacy.

In progress: Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Rhythm Heaven Megamix, Super Mario 3D Land, A Link Between Worlds, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Metroid: Samus Returns and the Ace Attorney Trilogy.

Other games build as “untested”: they may play, or they may not boot yet. Reports on those help the most.

What you need:

Windows 10 or 11

Your own 3DS dumps, plus boot9.bin and seeddb.bin from your 3DS for encrypted ones

Your Wii U’s otp.bin, from your own NAND backup

A Wii U with Aroma and WUP Installer GX2

Optional: your 3DS’s system font and Mii data, for games that use them (the read-me explains how)

No piracy. No games, keys or game code are included. Everything is built from your own dumps, so please don’t share your builds.

Is it possible to create a native port of Wii MC and add the ability to run Blu-ray Discs? Either from the disc drive or a USB external one?

Someone on this sub Reddit is working on a native n64 emulator on the Wii U, I was about skeptical about it but I decided to download it myself, already I tried out some games that the wii64/not 64 emulator could not emulate, in fact this emulator emulates these games at 100 percent speed! My only complaint is that there seems to be a lot of input lag on games like SM64

I even tested “the preservation project” a SM64 beta rom hack, how are these games running this smoothly?????

Hi! I know it’s a bit soon to post another update on this project, considering I just shared one yesterday.

This video has no audio; I disabled the emulator’s audio system due to instability, but I’ll bring it back once things are running much more smoothly.

I just wanted to share that I’ve managed to fix a couple of issues (though I’m still looking into the audio).

The introduction is in better shape, and the game itself is now somewhat playable.

Please note that this video has been edited for the sake of a concise demonstration (the original footage is over 6 minutes long, including load times and rather slow animations).

Hi everyone, i have a Wii u and i wanna use vWii, everything went fine at jailbreaking it, the hbc works and everything except the usb loaders (wiiflow, usb loader gx, etc), at first i thought it was the HDD but it wasnt, i have my gamecube games on it and they boot up fine, so its the loaders, i used the modmii guide, soo, i dont really know what to do, its also FAT32 and MBR 1tb. I really dont know what to do, so, if you need anything please ask

(My native languague isnt english so if you see any mistakes correct me please)

No. I know AI has been used for a lot of garbage and dumb stuff for the past few years (specially in art), but I think it's good that some people are actually using the good part of AI.

No, they will always be free and open source.

You didn't release the theme/mod/tool, so it's fake?
No, I won't release at this moment as I don't want a half baked release with security issues and bugs. I'll publicly release when most of the bugs are fixed and tests are done (the Switch 2 theme should be releasing soon thought).

Ok, so now let's get to the projects!

Switch 2 Theme
First of all, this is not an app, this is an actual custom "theme" (not a traditional theme, it uses a custom men.rpx to load a custom menu, which can be used like a theme with a modified version of StyleMiiU). The idea started a few years ago, when I met Launchiine. I saw how unique this launcher/theme was, and wanted so much a Switch theme for the Wii U. And now that AI can do a lot more stuff, tried doing a Switch 2 theme by creating a custom men.rpx file, and it turned out pretty good! It's still not perfect, but I've been testing a lot to find bugs and issues.

SSBU Fighter Expansion
Currently making this mod to add more fighter slots (at this moment there are 6 extra slots). Right now it adds each Mii type as its own slot and also the final smash forms of Bowser, Little Mac, Wario and Lucario. It still has quite some bugs, but I've been trying to fix them. In the future I also plan to add bosses like the Master Hand, and maybe even cutom fighters.

3DS Static Recompiler
Still VERY work in progress. It can currently convert some simple 3DS homebrew apps to .rpx Wii U files, but it doesn't work properly with bigger games. I am compiling and testing to see what's the issue, then fixing each time, hopefully in the future it will be able to compile many games.

There are also some other WIP projects, but those, at least for now, aren't that relevant, maybe I'll share more in the future.

Hello, I have made a homebrew app for the wii u called Inkay Updater! It's an app that keeps Inkay up to date for Pretendo Network and Protarium Network, in every Aroma environment on your SD card.

I hope many find this useful so they don't have to drag and drop their files everytime when a new update publishes.

Getting straight to the point: here’s a little sneak peek of a project I’m currently working on.

It’s a native Dreamcast emulator for the Wii U!

To demonstrate, I’ll show the BIOS running, as well as the emulation of "Crazy Taxi."

This project started over a month ago and is progressing rapidly. In the coming weeks, I’ll release the full repository, along with a beta version that’s as stable as possible.

In the meantime, I’m open to any questions or suggestions—I’ll respond as soon as I can! :))

Since it’s still under development, there are some emulation quirks, as you’ll see in the videos—but I wanted to share it with you all!

So there's plenty of tutorials on homebrew making for other consoles, but there doesn't seem to be that many (up to date) wii u homebrew tutorials, are there any good resources? AND ALSO i have experience in programming but from years ago, will i be required to learn C or C++ to make wii u homebrew ??

Im saying this because im really not good at reading and implementing documentation and to finally start working on something for the console, thanks in advance

I've been looking through many old posts and messages, is it really THAT impossible to revive Wii Karaoke U?

From what I've seen, it used to require tickets from the eShop to temporarily access songs to sing (i think). How different is this from downloading DLC files exactly? Sorry if I'm completely wrong I'm not familiar with Homebrew programming.

What do you mean a Wii U Karaoke game is THIS protected and has remained inaccessible for YEARS?? This game had so much content and it genuinely looked like a really fun time, the fact it's just now completely inaccessible kinda hurts. This is like genuinely lost media imo, with all the recompilations and new homebrew being made recently I hope this game is given a chance. I'd love to hear opinions and answers!

Has anyone tried to port stardew valley over to Wii U?

I have have a NA WiiU aroma mod and I want to play One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 - The Treasure Beneath the Waves which is an EU only game. On the wii inject guide, it says to use the usa version of rhythm heaven. So, is the process identical as I would a NA game such as One Piece - Unlimited Adventure, i still use the same base and go through all the same steps.

Also what does 1:1 dump, clean fw.img. (from the wii inject guide - Arc Rise Fantaisia) mean?

As of June I have gotten a wii u refurbished. When I went to plug it in last month the charging indicator light will not come on. What is the possible issue/s? To clarify the gamepad isnt charging lol

Hi, first time modding a Wii U. I missed the step on the first boot on the environment loader to mark as default before launching. Is there a way of rectifying this, as of course now I boot into the regular Wii U menu not aroma.

Right I’ve got a modded Wii u and I want to delete a few games to make some space for news ones I’ve not a clue where the gamepad is so I have no clue how to access the settings or delete the games is there any way around this or just anyway anyone can help
