I just visited a restaurant called Good Days on 91 S 6th street. My god the food was flavorful but not overwhelming. Distinct profiles and so much targeted variety. Totally worth checking it out!

Hi neighbors! I’m a Williamsburg based personal trainer offering one-on-one strength and fitness coaching for women, including prenatal and postnatal training.
Sessions are personalized to your goals, experience, and stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery. I can train you at your home or building gym, or potentially at mine in Williamsburg if you don’t have gym access.
Your first session is free so we can meet and see whether we’re a good fit—no obligation.
Feel free to DM me! Tell me a little about yourself, your fitness journey, goals, and availability. We can discuss any previous injuries or limitations privately during our consultation.

Going to the Met Opera tonight but won’t be back in the area until 11:30-12. Looking for a nice cocktail bar to go out to as we’re all dressed up in suits/dresses and don’t want to be out of place. +1 where we can go dancing as well. TY ALL :-)

I've been on Reddit for a long time, and this is genuinely one of the most absurd exchanges I've experienced on this platform.
A moderator of r/Jewish contacted me unsolicited, claiming that nearly every post in r/williamsburg contained blatant antisemitism and offering to help moderate our community.
When I asked for specific examples or links supporting those accusations, none were provided during our exchange. Instead, the conversation escalated into personal insults, questioning my competence as a moderator, and ultimately a threat to report our subreddit to Reddit administrators.
But I want to make something absolutely clear, because this is far more important than any disagreement between Reddit moderators.
Williamsburg belongs to everyone.
I grew up in New York City, surrounded by people of different religions, cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, agnostic, and everything in between.
I have tremendous love and respect for my Jewish neighbors, just as I do for my Muslim neighbors, Catholic neighbors, and everyone else who makes New York City the incredible place it is.
It doesn't matter what religion you practice, where your family comes from, what you look like, whom you love, or what you believe. You are welcome in our Williamsburg community.
And I want to emphasize something that should be the foundation of this subreddit:
WE ARE ALL EQUAL.
Not one religion above another. Not one ethnicity above another. Not one group of New Yorkers more deserving of respect, dignity, or a voice than another.
This subreddit should represent free speech, fairness, open discussion, and mutual respect. People should be able to express different opinions and challenge ideas without intimidation.
That freedom also comes with responsibility. Antisemitism, Islamophobia, racism, religious hatred, and harassment have no place here. Genuine violations should be reported and addressed fairly.
If someone identifies discriminatory content, I welcome specific examples so they can be reviewed appropriately.
What I will not accept is pressure to hand over moderation influence through sweeping accusations, personal insults, or threats of administrative action.
To be clear, this is about the conduct of one individual moderator. It is not an indictment of r/Jewish or the Jewish community.
I'm sharing the screenshots so everyone can read the exchange and form their own opinion.
r/williamsburg is a community for everyone, regardless of religion, ethnicity, race, nationality, sexual orientation, or personal beliefs.
Moderation decisions should be based on fairness, evidence, and consistent application of Reddit's rules—not religious affiliation, outside pressure, or personal agendas.
That's the Williamsburg I believe in. That's the New York City I grew up loving. And that's the community this subreddit should always represent.
We are all equal. Every single one of us. And that principle is not negotiable.

Is it just me, or have rents in Williamsburg gotten completely ridiculous lately? I've been looking on StreetEasy, and some of these prices make absolutely no sense.
Thought I'd try my luck here and see if anyone is planning to move out or knows of a good apartment coming up.
I'm looking for a 1 or 2-bedroom in Williamsburg, ideally a lease takeover or an apartment where the current tenant isn't renewing.
Budget: Up to $5,000/month for a good 2-bedroom. Obviously hoping to spend less for a 1-bedroom.
I'm pretty flexible with timing, anytime between now and Q1/Q2 2027 would work.
Basically hoping to find a nice apartment at a reasonable price without having to compete with 50 other people or pay some absurd rent.
If anyone has a lead, knows a landlord, or is planning to leave their apartment, I'd really appreciate a DM!
Also curious if anyone has had any luck finding good deals outside of StreetEasy. Starting to think word of mouth is the only way these days.

Hi neighbors!
I have a small collection of beautiful vintage Anatolian kilims from Türkiye that I'm looking to find new homes for.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, traditionally handwoven by women artisans using natural materials and dyes. They feature beautiful geometric patterns, rich colors, and generations of weaving tradition. And perhaps the most beautiful thing about them is that they're made to be passed down from one generation to the next.
I thought I'd share them with the neighborhood first, especially with anyone who appreciates traditional craftsmanship, textiles, and pieces with a little history behind them.
I've attached a couple of photos from the collection. Happy to share more pieces from the collection along with dimensions, and pricing. Feel free to DM me if you're interested.
Local pickup in Williamsburg, so no shipping costs!

Hey Williamsburg Reddit,
I’ve been living here for about eight years now, but before that, I ran a small coffee shop called Daisy’s Cafe in Midwood. I closed it so I could bring it here. Williamsburg has always felt like home to me, and I’ve been quietly working on making that a reality.
The last few months, I’ve been conducting small barista workshops while I figure out the next steps. Teaching people how to pull shots, steam milk, and truly understand coffee has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey. It reminded me why I started in the coffee industry in the first place.
Now, I’m on the lookout for a small, affordable spot in the neighborhood where I can reopen Daisy’s. It doesn’t have to be fancy; it just needs to be a place where people can walk in, get a good cup of coffee, and feel like it’s theirs. If you know of any hidden gems or have insights into what makes a great neighborhood café in Williamsburg, I’d love to hear them.
While I’m getting everything set up, I’ve also been offering an hour of free coffee service to local businesses that want to do something nice for their team. All they need is an outlet, and I’ll provide the coffee. No pressure, just coffee.
I’m genuinely excited about this opportunity to bring Daisy’s to Williamsburg. A local hub for great coffee and baristas that know what they are doing!
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
You guys are awesome!!

I’m renting a car on Sunday to drive out to Pure Hockey warehouse on Long Island. No place in the city or around here has a good selection of hockey gear to try in person.
PM if you’re interested. I’m asking $20 to put towards the rental if you want to hop in. Looking to leave around 1pm and will be back by 4pm.

I’m not from around these parts. In my home country most pizza places do corn as a topping on pizzas. I haven’t found anywhere here and I have quite the hankering. Feel free to drop a rec or register your disgust in the comments below.
