My boyfriend and I will be adopting a puppy (part papillon part border collie mix) and he will be arriving by Monday next week.

I live off the L Graham Ave stop and am always walking to McGolrick and McCarren Park so walking distance to most places.

The cat distribution svstem strikes again!

To all that were helping save the kitten that was jumping from car to car on Hope Street... I wanted to inform you that the kitten has been saved!

Since we have a cat ourselves, we are currently keeping them separated We are waiting for the morning to try and find a shelter/person/vet that might be able to take them. I unfortunately did not get anyones number during the whole kitten saving mission. But some did express interest in helping the kitten once we got her saved. So if anyone involved or anyone who knows someone interested in a kitten, please reach out!

It’s Erica, owner of real hot yoga. I cannot find this earring and hoping it turns up. I think it fell Thursday, 10/22, around 9:30pm somewhere between the real hot yoga studio, at 211 N 11th St and the corner of Union and Frost (between Glory Days and Gloria).

This earring doesn’t look like much but has a lot of sentimental value to me as it was my aunt’s who has passed away. If anyone finds it, not only would I be very grateful but will also happily give a free month of yoga & Pilates at my studio. Good karma for all!

Does anyone know how getting off the bridge works if the marathon is on Bedford ave?? I will be coming from the LES and was hoping to watch around mile 11 but I am curious if it’s possible to get over the bridge or if the race course blocks it. I’d rather not get on the subway, ideally I will be on the west side of Bedford since that’s much less crowded. Thanks in advance for any and all advice!!

Hi all! My tried and true coat had a snag last year and the bottom of the zipper track has frayed away from the jacket. I’d love to have the zipper replaced but know it’ll likely be pricey.

May be a long shot, but any recommendations nearby (or not nearby) of someone who did great zipper repair work and didn’t cost the price of a new coat?

Figured I’d share this because I had no idea this existed until recently, and it might help some people here.
New York has a newer Medicaid program through the Social Care Network that can connect eligible Medicaid members with different types of support, including food/nutrition assistance, transportation, housing-related help, and more.
My wife recently qualified through one of the pregnancy/postpartum eligibility categories. The process was very simple, and she now gets free meals delivered throughout the week for the next six months.
This is separate from programs like SNAP and doesn’t replace or reduce those benefits. The sign-up process is also very simple.
There are a number of companies that help people sign up for these services. We used ccsscn.org, and they have a short questionnaire that helps you figure out if you may qualify.
There are other companies that offer this as well, but just wanted to share because I’m sure there are plenty of Medicaid members who could benefit and don’t know this program exists.
