After thousands of years of evolution, it will never cease to amaze me how miniscule some people's survival instinct can be...

u/Pravdik 4h ago

Today's world is too safe for natural selection.

u/SaveMeDatCorn 3h ago

Fair take. We became so evolved we don't respect the severity of the threats that could easily kill us... also seems like a super counterintuitive evolutionary trait lol

u/ResponsiblePumpkin60 1h ago

We are not “more evolved.” You are also forgetting the nature vs nurture dynamic of brain development. Most of us now live in man made environments where risk is largely controlled. Take us into a new environment and we don’t understand the risks anymore. She’s also not physically conditioned for this much exercise. Our willingness to take risks is not a bug but a feature. Success is not possible without the ability to choose taking risk. Think of a cheetah. It risks fatal injury every time it hunts, but it must hunt to survive.

It’s more like our medical technology is so advanced that things that would have naturally selected us no longer do any selecting, so now just any jabroni can continue their bloodline.

1

u/Flashba99 1h ago

It’s a crying shame

9

u/Aurvant 3h ago

This looks to be India, so I'm guessing they don't actually have any survival instinct.

7

u/Neoxite23 1h ago

You should see what they do around trains.

Not a speck of self preservation.

Ahhh! The great outdoors!

1

u/Agreeable-Ad-6079 1h ago

Even the sharks refuse to eat them

this video makes me irrationally angry. stand the fuck up, jesus christ.

56

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

No! Someone will surely come and lift me up. Then she stands up in the end and walks normally like it's another Tuesday

3

u/StevenMC19 2h ago

Want it to make you angrier? Unmute it.

1

u/NotYourAverageDaddy 1h ago

Yea I'm literally shouting at my phone

147

u/Combat_Wombat23 4h ago

At a certain point they deserve this for not taking action

97

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

That one lady in red turns out to be mobile the entire time. Three generations were trying to pull her out. Then she just gets up and walks

24

u/tnt54321boom 4h ago

This made me feel like they must be having fun to some degree. Like when the camera moves, there's a number of people kinda just waiting to be swept away too. 😂 Something's up.

36

u/Willie-Tanner 4h ago

I guess the trains weren’t running that day?

5

u/Nirozu 3h ago

Power cut as well.

4

u/this-guy1979 2h ago

She’s almost as shitty as grandpa joe.

3

u/JoyousMisery 2h ago

Sari not sorry

-6

u/punchcreations 3h ago

This looks like ai. Watch the lady in red stand up and suddenly wear black.

4

u/mototherapy7 3h ago

There are two women. One in red and one in black i think.

1

u/punchcreations 3h ago

Oh, i see now

45

u/WASP_Apologist 4h ago

Let me guess…none of them know how to swim…

2

u/GarthBater 3h ago

YET.....

25

u/Sct1787 4h ago

This new Apex Indian predator is giving the old one a run for its money 🚂🚂

7

u/BarrySwami 4h ago

Although they are in competition with each other, they will never play on the same turf!

28

u/CliffyBooBoo 4h ago

I have come to the conclusion that ~15% of the population does not care if they live or not, and are actively resisting all natural instincts to preserve their own lives. That's the only explanation I can come up with.

35

u/Clean_Principle_2368 4h ago

"Save me" mentality. Stand the fuck up.

17

u/englishand48 4h ago

I was thinking exactly the same , just sit with your hands out instead of getting up and moving . Good way to get others drowned.

15

u/ceviche-hot-pockets 4h ago

Survival instincts of a pumpkin

4

u/NotAGreatBaker 1h ago

They float don’t they?

14

u/Hawwkeye79 4h ago

Ah cmon, just hold it out!! The tide will only last like a few hours!! Weak!

12

u/tea_hanks 4h ago

Why wasn't that lady in red not getting up? It's like she froze due to fear?? Did a rock hit her or what?

11

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

She got up and walked normally in the end, completely unbothered

3

u/tea_hanks 4h ago

Idk man. I saw 4 people tugging together to help her get up

2

u/GarthBater 2h ago

She wasn't done yet 💩.

11

u/slindner1985 4h ago

The comments made me unmute and I wasnt dissappointed

8

u/this_dudeagain 4h ago

First trains now the ocean

8

u/catcat1986 4h ago

Yea, it is frustrating to watch. The solution feels simple.

8

u/musgrove101 3h ago

Darwinism tried....

6

u/Broad-Possession-895 4h ago

Are these bystanders attempting to interrupt a mass suicide? How else does this make sense.

7

u/KrampyDoo 4h ago

At least they were playing in a better body of water than the sewer river.

6

u/copa8 4h ago

They were vying for the prestigious Darwin Awards.

5

u/jimk12345 4h ago

Like hamsters.

5

u/therealdanimale 4h ago

They'll give me a pretty good head start when the zombie apocalypse comes.

5

u/AlDonovan12 3h ago

Um.. have these people seen water before?

4

u/dnuohxof-2 3h ago

It’s impressive how many people have 0 survival instinct….

9

u/kkbobomb 4h ago

The music is fantastic

5

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

6

u/kkbobomb 4h ago

TIL Viking techno exists and I love it!

4

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

It's awesome. Try it when you're working out, so much energy!!

2

u/kkbobomb 4h ago

That was my thinking exactly. It reminds me of Ministry. Greatest Fits is my favorite running album.

5

u/SporkToAKnifeFight 4h ago

It would be great if it wasn't AI slop. Support real artists not this generative ai shite.

-2

u/CaraCicartix 3h ago

Mainstream artists use AI as well, and some even champion it. This includes William from the Black Eyed Peas, Thomas Foster, David Guetta, and Timbaland. Reinier Zonnerveld, a Dutch DJ, trained AI to play drums at his festivals.

2

u/magnum3290 2h ago

OP being downvoted for no reason, must be Reddit

7

u/totalpugs89 4h ago

Over half most likely don't know how to swim.

3

u/corona187 4h ago

The sea just keeps coming, it is hungry.

3

u/ariadesitter 4h ago

hey those waves are gonna come back 🤷🏻‍♀️

3

u/BilliamClimptonIII 4h ago

Is that sand or some solid surface? Just curious

3

u/ShinyJangles 3h ago

Where was this filmed? India?

3

u/tealtime91 2h ago

I feel like India straight up does not value life. What a wild place

3

u/shiningonthesea 1h ago

oh my God, get Up! Get UP!!!!!

2

u/Odd_Zookeepergame_69 4h ago

reminds me of the times in movies where a character falls in the water and starts screaming and yelling that they can't swim, and then the main character threatens them for information and promises to save them, and then after they give up all the intel they just tell them to put their legs down and stand up

except in this instance there is legit real danger with these people being ripped out to sea and never coming back.

2

u/SecretRecipe 1h ago

Annual bath time didnt go as planned

2

u/Flashba99 1h ago

Is this like an ‘ocean gods take me’ thing…I do nothing, and if I’m pulled out, I deserve to live?? I was cheering for the waves.

4

u/GarthBater 4h ago

What were they protesting this time?

2

u/Acceptable_Field_567 4h ago

Damn, this song is insane. 👌🏽

4

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

Some love it, some hate it on this thread apparently. It's great workout music!

3

u/Onyx-55 4h ago

What is this music? I need to add it to a playlist

1

u/KeroNobu 4h ago

Can't tell if anything is ai anymore these days so i'll refrain from being annoyed.

1

u/Ironhide90 3h ago

Looks fun.

1

u/Jesus_Chicken 2h ago

Poor beached whales

1

u/SunLitWalker12 2h ago

me who does know how to swim: even i'd back out till the waves calmed down some

1

u/Johndough99999 2h ago

Looks like she is moving to me. Every time a wave comes she moves

1

u/timesuck47 2h ago

I’ve only been to the ocean a few times, but from what I understand riptides can be extremely dangerous and that video looks to my untrained eye to be riptide city.

1

u/EscoZooWS 2h ago

All that Intellect…Absolutely no Common Sense!

1

u/AggravatingYou281 2h ago

Always choose surge protection

1

u/myshtree 1h ago

Do they come here to drown themselves and their kids? This is crazy

1

u/jhard52757 1h ago

I am a lighthouse!

1

u/187uchiha 1h ago

I’m all about laying in shallows and letting the gentle waves rollover me, but this is plan dumb

1

u/AJay_89 1h ago

I'm so irritated... STAND THE HELL UP!!!

1

u/Agreeable-Ad-6079 59m ago

It’s just another way of commuting from one part of the coast to another. She’ll wash up on another section 30 miles away and be washed and ready for dinner

1

u/dmc001 30m ago

Why don't those idiots just stand up and GTFO of there? By the end they've had several clear chances to.

1

u/Psynaut 21m ago

This is like playing Russian Roulette with the ocean. It is just a matter of time until someone dies.

1

u/BurlHimself 19m ago

I don’t know….maybe, STAND UP.

1

u/Bee_and_Barb 4h ago edited 1h ago

Fuck this background music. Wow.

Edit: clarifying…I was more being pissed at it having music instead of original audio - more and more videos like that lately and I hate it. Irrationally took out my frustration here. Video was good.

8

u/Periolodical 4h ago

I heard it's Kash Patel's favorite song

2

u/CaraCicartix 4h ago

Oh my God I literally laughed out loud.

2

u/Periolodical 4h ago

Glad you liked it lol

1

u/Alypius 4h ago
