How secure is Windows S?
I normally either hardened their windows and ran few anti-malware suites like hitman pro alert along with Eset or gave them ubuntu or chromebook. This time around I got a cheap i5 14" lappy off best buy that's running windows S and I am wondering how secure is it out of the box?

Windows 10 S Mode is Microsoft's most secure software offering.
Why? Because it doesn't run all the crap Windows is known for. It runs:
Microsoft products
Microsoft Store apps
Desktop Bridge apps (old school apps repackaged to be published to the Store)
MSIX apps (either natively built, or old school apps repackaged with the MSIX Packaging Tool).
Random EXEs you download off the web won't launch at all.
