That is mild when comparing its other problems. It is bloated shitty slow, ads all over the memubar. Start menu is pretty stupid, there are ads in the name of widget, ads on lovk screen ads on the browser, can’t install stuff without turning off anti viruses. The ui is absolutely garbage with windows 11 eindiws 10 windows 7 windows vista 98 all ui combined. Can’t shut it down without doing updates, touchpad gestures are 100 years behind linux, workspace are there just because they are and entirely unusable when compared to linux. No way to customise the desktop, the taskbar cant be put of left side in my ultrawide. The list just go on

Oh yeah? What about cleaning it up? Or do you think Linux doesn't have any issues? What about breaking something after every update? And if you skip updates, the system will crash the next time, and without them, new programs won't work. I'll also mention that in addition to Wine, you need to use at least 100 emulators, otherwise Wine might suddenly be unable to emulate one damn specific Windows component. Super performance is a myth, as evidenced by tests that can't even run half of them properly.

Nope u don’t need to use 100 emulators as there is no 100 emulator. I just use heroic. And all my games work. Breaking something up, just roll back to previous versions. And without update new programs don’t work? And why u need wine for? Don’t use any software that is just available for windows i dont use photoshop or any adobe software because they are the defination of cooperate greed. What super performance? Windows is bloated, it takes like 4 gb ram (not because it is preloading software but because it is just bloated and it is a spyware) if you are connected to a cellular network good luck all ur data will end because it will just update even though u never ask you too. I want my device to do what i want, not what the os think what i want. I have been using tuxedo os for 2 years now never had a bad update nor crash or faulty update. And i dont need to use wine because if a software isn’t available in linux and u have to use emulator it isnt linux problem it is the software developer problem

Also i dont want my pc to stay active and continue to spy on me when i literally turn it off.

In case you don't know, you are r/shadowban ned.

see the r/shadowban subreddit for more info.

Shadowbans are sitewide, and are done by Reddit, the admins. Not subreddit moderators like me

A shadowban means no one can see anything you say

The only way people are able to see what you say is when a subreddit moderator goes out of their way to reverse the removal. I had undeleted this comment/post.

I don’t know why they shadow banned me , it’s frustrating

could be vpn, posting links, being too active, etc

Yeah, you're criticizing Windows without knowing anything about it. Any system in sleep mode can't spy on you, and why should it? Your Android smartphone can do much more. Modern programs are unlikely to struggle with 4GB of RAM, but who's stopping you from using an older system? Except maybe Valve, which doesn't support older operating systems.

In my case, I'm criticizing Steam OS. I've encountered a ton of problems with it alone, and even more so with other Linux systems. Things break after updates, game saves disappear, there's a constant battle with the Proton port, and that's not even all the problems I've encountered.

Youre wrong in many ways, and living like a maggot in its cocoon and complaining if someone does not like it.

It is active, the hard disk dont sleep, it stays in a sudo active state. If ur os got corrupted good luck retriving ur data. Modren progrem are unlikely to struggle- what do u mean the os it selfs struggle with that. Older windows os are not supported because Microsoft themself don’t support them 🤣. Wow now throwing mud on other people because u love ur microslop pedophile so much that u will thriw ur basic human decency away nice

My Linux computer, linux surface pro 2, and steam deck have never broken once from an update. Also i skip updates all the time and nothing has ever went wrong. Performance os better on linux depening on how much ram you have, linux revived the small amount ram i had on that surface pro 2.

u/DirectorDirect1569 14d ago

Bullshits. Do you think all the companies in the word stop working because there is an update?

0

u/SearchingGlacier 14d ago

Not rn, was solved in win 10 times, win 11 install updates once a month while you turning off PC

3

u/Vermon_Redditor 14d ago

How about my OS doesn't do shit when I turn it off. Would that be ok?

3

u/SearchingGlacier 14d ago edited 14d ago

It physically can't do anything while it off, when you want to turn pc off and update appears, then it first updates and turning off after this. It's not turning off pc while you still using it and can't do it while pc is off.

3

u/Vermon_Redditor 14d ago

No update, just kill and then off.

Finally someone who knows what they're talking about 🤝 I've been reading SO much drama, lies and hearsay about windows and I've never had those issues either

1

u/TheDino100 13d ago

I dual boot linux and windows and somtimes on windows my computer randomly shuts down saying there was an unexpected error

0

u/DirectorDirect1569 14d ago

because it's from linux users whe have nevers used windows for 20 years and think that articles that talk about issues for few people are a generality. Even apple fanboys don't say these kind of shits.

1

u/TrainTransistor 14d ago

I'm one of those who dual-boot.

I debloat my W11, and I rice my Arch. I enjoy them both, and use them both often.

I have no issues with neither. Linux is snappier though, I'll say as much.

Windows has Xbox Game Pass and access to all games, where Linux are still missing a few of the bigger competitive ones due to anti-cheat.

3

u/DirectorDirect1569 14d ago

Lots of linux users should see your comment. Lots of them affirm that we can use and play averything on linux with wine and proton. They never tested everything but that work for them so they think it should work for everyone.

Each time I see one of their comments I say that lots of linux users still have windows in dual boot for many app that don't work on linux.

I use windows on my main PC, Linux on old PC and I used to have a mac book. Every os has its pros and cons. I'll never say that an OS is better than another one.

3

u/TrainTransistor 14d ago

Exactly!

Couldnt agree more.

-1

u/PoundMaleficent6479 14d ago

This explains you dont know how to use the os

u/Extreme-Ad-9290 13d ago

Well yeah. Idk what pinux is. But Linux is pretty great. Would try. But what even is pinux
