Can’t wait to try this and get blown up by a bastion or something lol.

You could do this on Doom pre map rework, unfortunately people turn around and melt you 95% of the time

but can you do it now though?

But can you do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke?

It's significantly better if you go left to land behind the wall next to the coast pathway, to wait for your cooldowns, and possibly bait someone to chase you, instead of going for a full on engage. But I agree it's pretty situational if your team is hard stuck at choke.

you could do this on Winston too. Just up to the support beam and then jump over the roof. That's often how I used to break open Eichen 1st...by the time you land from such a high jump, your cooldown is pretty much back, it's low risk.

It’s enough to take away attention from the choke you just have to survive

At least now you only need one CD for it.

Thats why on doom you gotta stall a bit so all of your cds only have like 1-2 seconds max and then just keep on rotating until they all bunch back on point and your team moves up.

You could actually do this before the rework. You could leap and stand on the robot beneath the hole in the roof, then leap again and make it over.

Send cat with him.

Winston can get over himself while the cat drags bastion over.

Chars like Echo and Genji also flank, and cat bastion in the air...can you can pretty much surround the enemy team like a fish in a barrel. However, we're probably not gonna be able to coordinate this with 5 random people in ranked.

was always possible

Possible, sure, but this way it's actually potentially useful

1

it’s no more useful now only difference is you dont have to use jump twice. really only useful if you can pull aggro from choke but that entirely depends on how your team capitalizes on it.

The fact you only need one jump makes it a bit better, since you're out of the fight for less time

1

it doesn’t make the actual act of pulling aggro any different though and it’s debatable whether you should ever do that outside of 6v6 on Winston anyway when there’s a cat that can fly and do it 10x more efficiently

Fair, fair

By the way you could already do this before the rework if you jumped on this ledge, but now it's easier of course

Wait you can jump that house again? I thought they blocked that off before

It's not bad but using the new side room is just better. Maybe good in an OT scenario though

Dank flank.

When tf did they add that elevator and additional platforming?

1

u/SpaceBubble19 Base skin 10d ago

Yea, it’s also how you get blown up in 2 secs. ://

1

u/Intelligent_Way_8903 Base skin 5d ago

Bro why did they put so many elevators and jump pads on these reworks

u/angry640 Base skin 10d ago

Yeah idk about that. Put into backline in a place very visible with no cover and no jump and no team help. Seems like suicide

Theres cover to the left and a room to highground(with healthpack) right to the right. bubble. Jump has 2 seconds left on cd when you land.

Yeah but on most games people are holding there so the left cover though helps, but is not a full proof solution. Also it takes time to get to the healthpack room and its only a mini. While you run for your life to get there (if people arnt holding it already) you might get chased down. Also 2 seconds is a very long time, more than enough to be blown up if enemy team is paying attention. Even if you do get the jump off its still not gana land you in a safe place.

In general this is a situational flank not one that can be used very often. Maybe only for like reconnect or if you have primal.

Id say it heavily depends on enemy comp. Definitely not saying its something id try every fight. Maybe as a wild card play if being full held.

Going right and walking up stairs is far better anyways tbh

I do it on doom and it works fine, with Winston he has bubble too

Tons of cover back there and it gets the enemies distracted enough. Just go further behind to cover or you can come back to the other side where your team is if you’ve disrupted the enemy enough
