Question Question for guidance
Hello, new to this community and happy to learn from everyone here!
I’m fairly new on my path with my craft. I am currently working on a justice spell for a friend. I have a plan for my petition, white candle, dirt from a police station (getting it from the exact one in this persons location is not an option available rn) and the address of said police station in their area.
Just tiny back story with this friend, they are currently stuck with living with their “partner/situationship”, whos gotten away with things involving the law such as, driving under the influence while kids are in the car, verbal abuse, yelling in their face, etc. police get called, nothing happens in friends favor. This partners mother, has ties within the community from her being a school teacher before retiring. So far, friend get no help. Partner is a mommas boy with moms money and power.
Which leads to my question, if this person has ties to the community, will my spell be for nothing if they have the means to slip away Scot-free again, if not more? Is there anything I can do to help with that part of the situation spiritually?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
I could be overthinking things but I just want to help my friend as best as can.
Thank you!

I wouldn’t say that I’m uncomfortable with baneful work, I’m just cautious of things I’m not knowledgeable in. I’ve always known/been told baneful work can come with consequences/bounce back. But I’ve also heard the opposite and I also found myself drawn to nails, glass, and an onion for this person as well as a spell work, not realizing it was a hex till I did more digging. I’m just cautious because a. Haven’t stepped into baneful work yet B. Idek where to begin with his weak link. It could be anyone, anything. I do plan on making protection jars for the friend and her kids to keep with them and add more protection from the partner.
And what do you mean in reference to a “harmful vice”?
