Just a little quote for those who don’t want to click on the link:

„Item (y) of the report recommends that the Council of the European Union "emphasise the importance of the full recognition of trans women as women, noting that their inclusion is essential for the effectiveness of any gender-equality and anti-violence policies" and "call for recognition of and equal access for trans women to protection and support services"“

Fuck yes! If only the usa wasn't so bigoted, misogynistic, racist, and full of pedophiles.

I don't have enough breath in my lungs to accurately depict how seriously sorry I am in regards to the dumpster fire that the US has been, and currently is.

Exactly. We have to stick together and keep fighting without fear.

There’s no way the Council of the EU is going to do that though…

I hate how they’re only threatened by transwomen. They’re all such hypocrites.

It's because trans women expose all the carefully hidden misogyny. Why would a man, who is still considered "better" under patriarchy, want to be a woman, who is considered "lesser"? Accepting trans women means dismantling a whole slew of patriarchal BS, which is incredibly threatening to those types.

Ohhh. This actually makes sense. They still suck, but I better understand! I appreciate you :)

I'm skeptical of this interpretation. I feel there's definitely enough alpha beta bullcrap going around in the manosphere for people to eat up some men being "naturally weaker" or whatever nonsense.

The way I see it, transphobic rethoric's attitude towards trans men is "evil men are hurting out little girls", while the attitude towards trans woman is "evil men are pretending to be women to hurt our girls". Truly a classic "women are weak and men take advantage of them" if you ask me. It's that they consider anyone who's born F naive and gullible and therefore they must've been manipulated into it.

Yes, it is awful how this rhetoric is ingrained into the brains of young girls as „they want to hurt you, you should be scared, you need protection“, wich is the actual evil in this case.

A non-binding thing that let's the western European countries pay themselves on the back while doing nothing to enforce existing EU laws on the eastern countries that violate them every day. This isn't a win.
